What level of prep are you racing Improved Touring, GT, time attack, Horsepower, what tires, sizes etc. bias, radial. Needs lots more info to give you proper guidance.

They are required to remain on/in the car for most racing organizations. It also will help with keeping some turbulence from inside the car, keeping the hatch from becoming a parachute.

The other one to try is LNA enterprises in NC. This is the guy that builds and preps Greg Iras and guy Marvin Zs that are some of the fastest in the S.E. as well as at the runoffs. He is another straight shooter with more than enough smarts to make yours work at a very reasonable price. Again no fancy dog and pony shows here. Google LNA for his number!!

Jason, Now my input!! Join the SCCA( comes w\a crew license) be a pit rat like one of the guys already mentioned. Get a GCR (General Competition Rules), its the bible of SCCA racers. Read it, memorize it. Take that knowledge of the GCR and volunteer, beg, plead to help a local racer at the track. Watch everything that happens, help every where you can. Talk to people racing Zs, RXs, whatever!! Find out how much it cost, and how they did it. One thing you won't have a hard time in finding is a racer willing to talk about himself!! If you can't find a racer, volunteer as a track worker. Find the cheapest thing that runs, and run it!! Autocross, time attack, hillclimb, whatever!! The 2.8 flat top n42 just put you into GT2. Against tube frame, 400 hp Panoz, GT3 Porsches etc. As much as you believe in your driving( as 98% of all guys) your driving is the weakest link in the package for probably the first 5 years. A $3000 car with 7 weekends of racing will beat the daylights out of 10,000 car with a 2 weekend driver!! Just my input, your results and mileage may vary

Try www.racing-shields.com. I spoke with them last year at the PRI show. They were going to make some if there was enough need. Their w/s are fogproof and scratch resistant. I will be needing one soon, as my prod car is almost done!! Maybe if there is enough interest we can get a group buy together!! The people there seemed very nice. They make w/s for many different racecars. I know Don Ahrens was looking for one earlier this year and he was going to contact them, don't know if he did or not!!

Just going off what they said!! I know the Panasports are around 10 for the 15x7s, and Volk makes a wheel thats around 9.3 or so, obviously forged.

I'm just going off of what the importer (Ensure Wheels 800-647-7462) told when I called. I inquired as to the weights of a bunch of thier wheels in the 15x7 size. As I look at my notes, I made a mistake. The 002 were 18 lbs. the 940s and 941s were 20 lbs. my bad!! Still 5 lbs a wheel is a lot, even though they look so sweet!!

Hey guys just an FYI: The Sportmax 002s weigh 20 LBS!!!! The rewinds are 13.29 lbs. Thats from the manufacturers. Thats a significant amount of weight on each corner!! I was psyched when I saw the 002s and the price, but all changed when I inquired as to weight!!

I have a R200 open w/3.9 gears looking for a good home, I need a r180 pref 3.9 as well, have all the bits to install r200 into z car.

They were out of the R180 Units when I talked to them!! But, I have a R200 3.9 open looking for a good home, I need to go with a R180 because of rules(SCCA). Trades?? Sell??

Pablo, What class of road racing are you doing? It might not be a legal upgrade to switch out dist.( SCCA being one of them), though pointless conversions are legal in the stock housing. Just thought I'd throw that out before you bought more parts!!

Not trying to get into the political foray. But, in the Dallas/Fort worth area diesel was 1.669 last monday and I filled up tonight for 1.499 gal. I'v seen about a 2-4 cent drop almost every other day in the last 10 days. So, we are seeing a drop. Friends in Orlando are paying about 1.77 a gallon for diesel. Hey Dozer171, how are things in Ra-cha-cha?!?!?!?! Grew up there, graduated from Irondequoit High school!! Moved to Oralndo 12 years ago,to Dallas in 2001, back in Orlando next month!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Guys, Need to fix this. These springs are not for a 240Z After some research on these springs, I have found out that these are European spec springs for a 510!! Not a Z!! Sorry about the mistake. They are in the Nissan motorsports catalog. They are stiffer than stock but will actually raise the car slightly. Adding a little bit of negative camber. My apologies!!
