2 4 0 Z Uh Oh Project
You have incredible skill and patience! I feel like I'm watching an episode of Overhaulin! Except I don't think even Chip Foose would be brave enough to take on a car so rusty!

new paint job a little dull
Search Amazon.com and I think there is a smaller bottle of Finesse-It II for about half the price. You might also have a little oxidation on the single stage paint, which the Finesse will remove. And it will remove microfine scratches like Zed says. But it won't remove orange peel. If your car has orange peel, just make believe its a BMW! Also, if you try the Finnesse get a package of these to help. Use one for the Finesse and one for the wax. They are pretty handy & cheap. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0051MYL8E/ref=pd_bxgy_263_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=BWG8CRA6NWG1JDSNG1X0

OE stereo install 75 280z
Yes there is. If you can't DIY there is a guy in CA who can add an AUX jack to any radio for about $60 bucks. I had him do a radio out of a 1992 LS400 for me and it worked great. I'm getting ready to send him the OEM radio out of my 78 280Z for the same mod. I've already checked and he says he can do it. Here is his web site: http://factoryradioservice.com/index.php

new paint job a little dull
You might want to try 3M Finesse-It II polish on it first, as the low cost least complex solution. I've used it with great success on single stage paints. Do it by hand, and you won't have to worry about it taking too much off. Then wax. But don't take my word for it, read the reviews: https://www.amazon.com/3M-05928-Finesse--Machine-Polish/dp/B0006GBTP8/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1475890437&sr=8-3&keywords=finesse+II

Selling my beloved Z. Where to start?
That's BS. Barrett Jackson (Scottsdale, AZ auction) sold over 100 million dollars in cars last year in a global market. There is no validity to say its not the right venue for a Z car. What I said is for the OP to check out the AZ auctions and do a little research. And since he lives in Colorado the auctions here would be very convenient. But if he wants to limit his options to BAT then go for it.

That's not true in any way shape or form. But I suppose everyone is entitled to an opinion, even if its totally wrong.

I go to the Arizona auctions every year, since I live here. Whats the "right kind" of vehicle? You mean like this one? http://www.barrett-jackson.com/Events/Event/Details/1975-DATSUN-280Z-HATCHBACK-117129

Nice car! You might want to do a little research into the big Arizona car auctions that start in December & January. One that comes to mind is Barrett-Jackson.

radiator
You are showing your ignorance. If you want to be the word cop on this site, you should buy a dictionary.

radiator
All clear now! It was a dull Saturday night and Zed Head the 280Z philosopher/mechanic/lawyer/wordsmith felt funny about a word I used and had a nitpick party. I'm sorry. Drink JB weld! Its legitimately good stuff!
-
radiator
Your ethanol fueled musings are way too complex & philosophical for me. To quote you, "Is a 3 row radiator really legitimate?" "Is a shroud really legitimate?" You have deep fundamental questions that I cannot answer. You are the expert. Please define "dimensionless" as it relates to radiator repairs. Oh, and JB weld. To use, or not to use, that is the question. I'm sure your car is slathered with it. But what about everyone else?
-
radiator
The expert has spoken. JB weld is as good as brazing. I stand corrected! Lulz!
-
radiator
Well your post gives me a funny feeling. Go ahead and argue if you want. JB weld isn't a legitimate fix. May be on your car, but not on most peoples.

Pull that radiator and have a shop fix it right. And have them also flush it and/or rod it out. And a good shop will also paint it up nice. Glue or JB weld is not a legitimate fix. And siteunseen offers an excellent alternative. A 3 row and shroud is the best cooling solution. Radiators with shrouds work much better.

1976 280Z Restoration Project
I checked on this a few months ago as I have an extra steering wheel. Two upholstery shops in Phoenix quoted me $350 to leather wrap it. For the same money, you can get this out of Japan. Anyone tried one? http://www.ebay.com/itm/DATSUN-REPLICA-COMPETITION-COMPE-STEERING-WHEEL-240Z-260Z-280Z-510-GC10-GC110-/201594366981?hash=item2eeff5ec05:g:sDIAAOSwDNdV5-Xq&vxp=mtr

How much should I pay for this 240z?
How much to pay for a roach coach is really the wrong question to ponder. A needy project car is a three part equation. First part is how much to pay. Second part is how much will the restoration cost in time and money. Third part is can you afford the second part - if the answer is no then walk away.
