Hello Mat, Congratulations on purchasing the 260Z. I don't see many 260's here in the states, and they really are great cars. I have an early 260Z and yours is an early 260z as well, unless the previous owner changed it over to the early bumper congifiguration which is highly unlikely. I am pretty sure that the only difference between the early and late 260z was the bumper configuration. Here in the states, 74' was the begining of what would be a huge regulation period for safety issues and fuel consumption (especially in Cali ), which is the result of the larger bumpers. The 240z bumpers are basically for looks, the early 260z bumpers are 3mph bumpers, and the late 260z-280 are 5pmh bumpers. The later bumpers don't look bad, just not as sporty. Correct me if I am wrong, but 260z cars built in October and later were considered 'late' versions. Anyways, good luck with the car Mat. You are going to love it. I have a non-black interior as well, but it is nice to see a different color than black for the interior every now and then, because most of the Z's almost always have black interiors. I am not saying I don't like black though, it is quite sporty. Unfortunately, it is harder to find the brown, cream, and other color interior peices. Take care and welcome to the club , Ben
  9. It's a Fiero. I don't think anyone is going to miss it. If it were a real 328, then I would be concerned.

I have seen one of these in a museum before as well. They really are beautiful cars. The one that I saw was a LHD as well. Thanks for the pictures. Ben p.s. I don't think this is off topic.

I don't want to hijack this thread, I just thought that this would be a good place to post a few pics of Skylines that I saw recently. Of the modern Skylines the R33 is my favorite. Thanks Walter for sharing the pictures. -

This looks like a great set of Watanabe's. I would ask for more pictures and see how they really look. If they are in great condition, buy now! I know some of you guys want to get the over-fenders and put on DEEP wheels. I think this is the most dish on ebay ever, as far as Watanabe's go. It would be great to learn more about that Skyline as well. It looks like it just got here to these shores. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=4509582152&category=34209&sspagename=WDVW

I think that horn button is the one that is fabbed for a modern steering wheel. This is the expensive one on ebay no? That may be the reason why there is no stitching (Correct me if I am wrong somecreep). You are right Lachlan, the Fairlady Z horn button had a "Z". In Japan, the Compe had a "Z" horn button. I think a lot of the guys in Japan like the Datsun logo horn button's like we would like a "Z" horn button. Ben
