  3. I will get a better picture of it, but It was no smaller than that gap that I made with the two lowercase L's. Be easy on me Lachlan, us yanks are not familiar with these measurments. Teehee. I know my mLs and L's quite well though. Of course that is not very hard at all. I am not sure what I am going to do with the calipers. I was thinking that I would strip them for originality, but then I wonder why they were painted red in the first place. The owner that had the car before did not seem like the type that would paint the calipers. The car sat for ten years in his garage and nothing was changed through out the car's life but the fluids, hoses, carbs, and tires. That does not mean that it was in perfect shape. Thanks for the advice Lachlan. Don't worry, I am going to make sure that the wheels are safe before any driving is done with them. I don't want to hurt the wheels . Take care, Ben
  4. I don't think so Carl. hehehehe. Your wheels are going to look really cool. You have -9mm offset!!! How cool is that. Once you paint the centers gunmetal youll be rockin. What size tires do you think you will use? It is not the offset that is the issue, it is just the back of the spokes. Here is the size of the gap roughly, l l I am thinking that I am going to leave it because I don't take it to the track and there is no reason for a flex. If I do anything I am thinking of the shim behind the hub that David mentioned. I will keep you guys posted. Thanks for all of the help and replies. Ben:)

Hey Kyteler, those wheels are awesome. I like the watanabes, but these XR-4's look better on your car with the dish. Your car still looks pure Japanese. I love it! You got a great buy as well. Congradulation's!!! -Ben:)
  9. Thanks guys for the answers. When the time comes to put on the wheels I will post some really detailed pictures of the closeness. Is it normal to be that close? If I have to, I will shave a bit off the caliper, but I am hoping I won't have to. Thanks again Carl and David, Ben p.s. Marc, there are a few tiny scratches on the wheels, but nothing I am worried about. I don't know if I could buy thinner calipers. I don't want to change them though because even though I am doing a few mods, I am still a stickler for originality. hehehehe, if I had to I would though. What ever makes the car safer is more important than my sticklerness.
  10. 1. Today I took off a front wheel just to see how my new wheels would fit and I put the wheel on and there were no clearance problems, but the inside of the spokes are about 1mm away from the caliper. Is this unsafe? 2. The brakes are stock as far as I know so I would think this would not be a problem since many people have Watanabe's on their Z's. However, I could be wrong about the brakes being stock. The calipers are red. That is not how they came is it? It says Sumimito on the caliper. I am just a little paranoid. Thanks in advance, Ben

  13. I am not sure, but my friend that owns a 1800sss said that 8-10k seems reasonable, but 11k is too much. Then again, if everything is original and not restored I would think it would be worth much more. Stephen, I really have no clue how much it would be worth then. I sure do like it though. Hehehe, you could add to your collection of classic Nissan's. Is the color 920 gold? Take care, Ben
  14. I have been talking with my friend about this car and he said that it is very clean, but 11K is too high. Here is his website and there are extensive pictures of this car. His name is Ted Lo. http://www.datsunbluebird.com/Registry/BrianOrangeAuto.htm Roam around the site when you can. It is really a great site and check out the videos . You won't be disappointed. Ben p.s. At the time the pictures were taken of the Mustard colored Bluebird, it had a different grill and a few other different pieces than how it sits now. p.p.s. Victor, check out the light to illuminate the license plate. It is made by everwing like you mentioned about the fog lights.
  15. If Nissan paid more attention to their history and started making these and other hard to find parts again, then they would make a fortune from the members here alone. There would be a lot of happy Zers too. Me included . Mark, you will get one eventually. Keep looking. Kats told me that he bought his from a lot of parts on ebay. It was hiding in the box and it wasn't in the description, but he could see it in the box. Keep a keen eye and you will find one. These have been popping up on ebay quite a bit. I really like the braided hoses, but the one with the arrow is cool too. Are those still made by Nissan? Ben P.S. Yes, I took a stab at Nissan Motor Co.
  16. I emailed the seller about when and where it was shipped to and fro, and what all is original or restored. Hopefully the seller emails me and we can get some answers. Have you seen my friend's Bluebird in my gallery? He has a really nice one too. I will talk to you guys later. Ben:)
  17. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=2489879900&category=6188 Oh man, when I saw this auction I absolutely fell in love. This Bluebird is rediculously perfect. Let me explain, it is 920 gold which is an awesome color( Is that the color or did the Bluebird/510 line have a different color?), it is 00033!!!, it has 30k on the OD!!!, and it is a Bluebird. If everything is true than this car is a gem because you don't see a car in this good of shape and on this side of the pond much if ever. I would love to learn more about this car. How it got here? Is it original paint? The winner/owner will be very lucky. I wonder how high the price will go? Any guesses? My guess is 14.5K, and it would be worth every penny if it is in as original condition as the pictures and seller make it out to be. Ben:)
