Here in California every year there is a non-competitive vintage rally that starts at the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco. The rules are that the car be of 1957 year model or older. Most of the cars were European, but there were some American too. I thought that many of you might find this interesting even though there are no Z's. I hope it is anyway. Here are the pics. I will post more later. By the way, these are some of the most beautiful cars I have ever seen. Take care, Ben:classic:

Awe, you didn't park by Mr. K's car this year. I love your car Victor. Were there more cars than at last year's MSA show? Ben

Welcome to the forum Jim. This is a 1st gen z site as well as a 240k/c110 place too. I love the 432, gtr, and other japanese nissan variants. There are quite a lot of threads about them, and there are a few members that have Fairlady Z's. I too have to be content with my 1/24 s20's and fujimi kits of the sorts. Take care, Ben:classic:

not Z related....must see though...300SL
Maybe he had a 190sl. Those were and still are a fraction of the cost of the 300sl. I agree with you there alfa, one cannot live in a 300SL. The square footage is very small for the price. heheheh, but man does it look good... These are highly prized cars of collectors and I would not be surprized if the price reaches well over 200k.

Hey everyone, im new here.
Yeah, welcome to the forum. This is a great place to be if you just got a Z because I when I first got my Z I knew nothing about it, and now with the help of the members here and the most valueble information on the threads I have come to understand these cars more than I ever would have. If I did not stumble upon this site I would have been a lost soul. hehehehhe. Take care and good luck with the car. There are a ton of people here that have parts or will guide you in the right direction to find the parts that you are looking for. -Ben:)

not Z related....must see though...300SL
I know this is not Z related, but I thought you guys would like to take a look at this anyway because we are all car enthusiasts here. I have only seen a few of these 300sl's on ebay before and only seen a hand full of them in person. I would have to say that the 300sl of the 50's and very early 60's has to be one of the most beautiful designed cars ever. I like the gullwings even more, but this one is gorgeous as well. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=6338&item=2475215746&rd=1 -Ben:love:

G-nosed 280...
You guys have to see this. The nose looks really good. I have no clue if the nose is factory, but it possibly could be. Alan, where are you? If it was a factory nose I wonder how it got on the car. Anyways, take a look and see for your self. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=6187&item=2475587617&rd=1 -Ben:classic:

Magic??????????????/
That seems like a complete crock. I don't know what he is trying to sell. He can only get it in one color, the shipping price is sky high for such a small piece, the claims are bogus, and no local pickup???? People are bidding. I don't know, I think it is complete bogus. :finger: whisperbee

Stock or Racing Seats
There is someone on this forum that has the Porsche seats installed in their Zed. I do not remember whose car or what car it was, but they did look very nice in the car. The Z seats are very reminescent of the Porsche seats but the Porsche seats have a modern twist and probably a lot more support. Ben

Best looking Z you've ever seen?
I would love to see that. If there was going to be a 432 or a 240zg I would do would definately go to one of these shows. Oh man, . Someday I would absolutely love to own one of these cars. I wonder if there is any 432 or 240zg owners in the US. I remember reading that in the seventies a 432 made it to North America and there was also one in Australia. Does anyone have any information to confirm this? I wonder if Kats is going to go this year to the Las Vegas show? Are you going to bring your beautiful Z to the US kats? Kyteler, I like the steering wheel on either side. I am a huge fan of the home market cars, but I am also a huge fan of the exports as well. I would love to see a concours 260z with flattops, but I have yet to see that. If anyone has pictures of a car like this I would be very interested to see them. Take care, Ben

Best looking Z you've ever seen?
There are many cars that come to my mind as being the most beautiful Z, but one of the Z's that sticks out in my mind is Kats 240z for his attention to detail and the complete originality of his car. http://www.classiczcars.com/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=2754&password=&sort=2&thecat=500 P.S. The pictures of the Fairlady Z432 at the 1969 Tokyo auto show were breath taking. -Ben

Stock or Racing Seats
Hey Gav, I don't know if you have come across these sites, but here they are: http://www.corbeau.com/brochure/ I especially like the classic bucket. http://www.corbeau.com/brochure/ here is the seat Alan was talking about. I hope you find a nice set of seats Gav. Are you going to install harness seatbelts? That would be cool. Then there are an endless number of mods to do. Take care, Ben :classic:

Owning a Z makes me...
Happy, proud, snooty, and a whole bunch more... I am so glad that I have my Z. I have always been a car enthusiasts, but I don't think I would have ever become a Zcar enthusiast if my Dad didn't purchase one. At the time of my sophmore year in college I needed a car to drive to an internship a few days a week. I started looking around at old Integra's and Impreza's, then my Dad said that he never drives the Z and offered it to me. I took it and it has taken me on a journey. Never have I learned so much about one car before. Besides knowledge, pride, and passion that I have for my car and Zcars alike, it has given me friends around the world. When I was younger I always wanted a penpal, but I never had one. Thanks to this forum and the Zcar I can talk with all of you. This forum is great and I am greatful for my Zcar and the Zcar in general. Thanks everyone for being there. Sincerely, Ben Yount

Headlight covers (chrome!)
These are not on ebay, but they are in the same category. I thought I would bring it up. I think 600 is quite pricey, but they are brand new. Not many people have these on their Z's and I think they look so good on Z's, but I know there is quite a few of you here that have a set. :classic: http://www.zparts.com/ads/arrivals/recent%20parts%20arrivals.html Ben

Need Center Caps
Yeah, the only center caps I have seen for mesh-style wheels are the plastic ones. I think the billet caps you were thinking of Chris were the ones for the Libra american racing wheels. Marty, I know you said 3 1/8", but here is a link to some 3 1/4". You might be able to make them fit. Good luck on finding a set of caps. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=2473537559&category=43961 -Ben

MikeW new paint
That looks suberb! It almost looks like my car. I love the color. I am sucker for blue Z's, especially light blue ones. Not too many of us around.
