  1. PARTS WANTED, Preferably out of europe... I'm looking for a inner bar and … if it's a perfect one.. a chrome piece (stainless steel..) of the 280zx rear bumper. It has to be the 1979-1981 type. The later one ivé got but that one does not fit directly into the rubber cover.. Also there is a "hight" difference in the bar. (when laying on the hollow side.)
  2. It (The HA-11D) comes close but is not the Original 240z antenna.. Length differs and top... sorry.
  3. I would give that smelly one a good overnight bath, have you got a big bathtubb? ?
  4. I was just busy with a euro version.. here a pic for you.. E88 and E41 balance tube this is from a europe L24 Datsun 240z. The europe balancetube was without all those emission crap..
  5. It has been a long time ago when i saw that stuff.. can't say that it was so thick! At the most a 1/4 inch? (6,35 mm!) You also want to pay the shipping if it has to come out of europe? ?

  7. https://www.totalzparts.com/product/datsun-240z-choke-knob-for-interior-console-1970-1971-nos/ but you want the smaller one? with lefty ear...
  8. Thanks BGM !! ...but the costs from the us to eu is...pfff... does someone out of europe has one? a 3 meterset out of a 280zx dash..??
  9. Yuup! It's a very very RARE part! When i heared that Mike from Wheeler - Dealers gave out $600,00 for a regrind.. this Original part must be worth a lot more.. oh well.. as we say overhere, it does'nt eat bread! (leave it on the shelf.. ? )
  10. Halfway in my 280zx restore i have pic's of my Original 240z slalom camshaft it's new in it's Original box..what's left of it.. haha.. but the part is new! https://www.classiczcars.com/uploads/monthly_2017_05/20170510_102253.jpg.ed3dfa3d7ec0362bbbaac036e06b5996.jpg
  11. bump.. still looking for a clock! or assembly!
  12. Nice car for a few penny"s! was it hot weather? I ones had that problem with low fuel on a hot day, it's getting to hot under the hood and fuel evaporates in your lines on the engine and it stops.. after some cooling you can start it up again.. At low fuel the fuel gets hotter and you end up with to hot fuel.. this is not the case so fast with a full tank.. also has your car the fuel injector cooler, that plastic tunnel thing over the valvecover? that also cools the fuel ..
  13. yeah.. nice car, but the tire guy was (again) deep asleep when he did the rear wheels… ?
  14. Hahaha.. yeah.. money money money… but look at what a new switch today will cost you.. WOWWW! i think you want to invest in low current lights..
  15. Hi, I think adding a big resistor to make the flasher work is not the way to go.. now you can finally unload the switch and you go ad more current to it! Look for another flasher (from a more modern car) that works with those small current lights.. your switches will last a lot longer. ?
  16. He's (C O) restoring a flattop carb ??? (in that pic.) HEY! Nice 260z end muffler.. i've got the 240z middle peace in new condition in storage.. i think it's the : 20050-E4100 also in black! (Nichira made in Japan)
  17. Thanks man, Although i have a lot of parts it's Always possible i need something.. As you may know i'm restoring a 280zx first year in the Netherlands and when that one is ready (next year..) i'm thinking of restoring my 240z for the 2nd time haha after 20 years driving it! Have'nt made a list yet!

  19. I have seen them go overhere in europe for 200 euro... But for as long there are "plenty" parts in de States, the prices are (for us..) low.. Look some time on : www.speurders.nl ...and see what a junkyard 240z go's for overhere, you'll be very surprised i can tell yah! ? (most if not ALL are imported from USA.)
  20. Your welcom.. here some more details of a very nice restored car. 260z from 1979. This car was restored by a NISSAN dealer and he has stopt with working but still has this car and a fairlady cabriolet.
  21. In de States… imported!… yeah… but the 260z was MADE till 1978! In europe we did NOT have the 280z it was the 260z .. 1979 came out the 280zx.. and the production of 260z came at an end. Here some pic's from a beautiful 1979 euro 260Z (It was a probably a 1978 car made and was put on the road in 1979.)
  22. Nope... N42 in my euro 280zx from early 1979.. ('79 was it's first year in the Netherlands! ) was already a self oiling cam..
  23. That depends.. In europe for example we have no exhaust port liners… therefore these heads can be better. personaly i think there is not much if any diff. in the N42 and N47. I've got a N42 on my 280zx and it has a compr. of 10.1 to 1 standard. it runs very well.
  24. Could it be because you have isolated the coil from ground with that paper/cardboard in between the coil and it's holder? if the black wire is a bad ground.... And.. What brand do those wires smoke? ... sorry i could also not help myself.... ?
  25. The painter is still busy.. meanwile i have a question, is there somebody that has a good set of dash meters, i'm refering to the 3 -meterset in the middle of the dash.. with the analog clock. shoot me a pm if you have one for sale with a pic and price, and condition it's in.. Thanks! (It's for a 1979 280zx )
