Thanks for the replies, my radio has both AM and FM buttons, it also has the slide button for the electric antenna. Is it stereo or mono?

My 1971 240 only has one speaker in the left rear, the same mounting holes are on the right side but no speaker, also on the left there are wires in the wiring harness, none on the right. The knob behind the on/off volume knob seems to be balance. The previous owner had installed 4 speakers (2 on kick plates and 2 behind seats). I'm trying to get back to original. Can anyone help with this? Thanks in advance.

Every place I call is out of stock for the foam kits for the 240. Who have you purchased them from? Are the molded kits better than to pieced together seats? (When I removed the covers on mine it looks like it's just a bunch of pieces as opposed to a molded seat. Thanks
  4. What do you guys use to treat/protect/clean interior plastic? Dash board, console, diamond pattern final, door panels, is it as easy as Armor All? Or is there some stuff that you have found that does a better job? Thanks, Eric

Thanks Jim, I found a rubber thread protector (it came on a aircraft fuel line fitting) that also is the correct size. I think Safety wire will work for the linkage question, I thought that the screws on the linkage were idle adjustments, are they both adjusted by the screw on the rear carb? Could you tell me what you used to attach pictures to your post? I had no problem attaching pictures to the original post but can't find a button that links to my pictures. Thanks again, you guys have been a BIG help. Eric

I'll try that, does anyone have a picture of this being done to their linkage? Thanks

Thanks again for the good info on hose hook up. Now, I have a carb linkage question: Before I removed the emissions "Stuff" from the intake rail, the front carb arm that has the idle screw in it was attached with a rod that went to a vacuum pot on the rail. Now that The vacuum pot (and rod) is gone the arm that has the idle adjusting screw on it (front carburetor) just flops around, what's the fix? The rear carburetor is unchanged and appears to be operating normally. I tried to upload some pictures but couldn't find a icon that would allow me to post pictures to the message. Thanks in advance Eric

Thanks everyone for the help. I still don't know what to do with the large port on the back of the air cleaner since I have removed the air pump. Is it acceptable to just cap it off?

<script src="safari-extension://com.ebay.safari.myebaymanager-QYHMMGCMJR/85e82b1c/background/helpers/prefilterHelper.js" type="text/javascript"> </script> I'm hooking the hoses back up after removing and replacing engine for rebuilding and heed some help locating where hoses should go. #1: On the back of the air cleaner, the largest hose and the small one below it, where do they go? #2: On the front carburetor, there is a little port sticking up between the dashpot and the mounting flange, where does it go? #3: The valve that is on the driver side shock tower that has a line going to the rear of the car, where do the 2 hoses go? #4: Where does the vacuum advance and the #5: small line on the large tube on the block go? Thanks for your help
