Strange how I am an electronics tech for the military but find more joy in the mechanics of the car... electrical I understand but enjoy much less!

Hard to tell for sure, but those welds don't look like they got much penetration.... Looks like you ran out of gas during the MIG welding. Hope they are good!

I guess this is more like practice for the outer shell. The more I do here the more confident I get for doing the body work on the outer panels. Still have a couple more days of hand sanding the base primer before seam sealer. Then a major clean up before the sealer coat of the interior, underside and engine bay.

His will be a street legal tubular framed resto mod. Most likely an RB going in. He has a 370 as well so it won't be a daily.

A friend has made his license plate a flip up filler location for his fuel cell. I think he has an American muscle car license plate unit mounted over it now. Car is still in progress.

I am going the same route with a shaved intake and pallnet rail. I too am curious. My car will only be summer driven but in Canada, that can still mean cold mornings.

These are a couple pictures of one from my 9/75 production 280Z I will check my shop this weekend for any hi/lo markings. I suspect the decibel rating is the clue...
