The sending unit for the 280 is waaaaay more than the 240.... The o-ring is the same though. I don't think I've seen a NOS sending unit for sale anywhere.

Very important on high HP/Tq vehicles. My 370Z was checked at 0.00" of thrust angle and 0.01" of negative toe. Under hard acceleration things can get squirrelly fast if you're not aligned. I'm not sure if it is as critical on the 280 though... Recommended I'm sure.

Almost forgot about the stuff I found a week ago too! I picked up a set of tail lights and two spare valve covers plus some of the tail light surround molding from local 280Z owner. Mostly just spares for the shelf but I will try and experiment a bit with the valve covers. I would like to TIG weld up the top valve case vent and relocate it to the back of the cover against the firewall, also remove the bossings for the spark plug wires and then either polish it or ceramic powder coat it. Maybe paint another valve core the same as the body colour with polished lettering on top. Will have to see!

Just relieved to have found a good tank at a reasonable price. The previous owner sounds like a real nice guy too.

Not yet. It is in the mail and I have a tracking number. I will post some shots of the inside and sending unit when it arrives. The fuel pump assy is a spare basically. Unknown condition but the car it came from only had 50,000 miles on it.

I have a set waiting to go in. Awesome quality and best value. Add the bad dog reinforcement frame rails (over the zeddfindings patch rails) and you have a forever solution.

Zeddfindings will provide replacement panels. Best way to go by far. New floors equals piece of mind for the long run.

Update: fuel tank and a fuel pump assy have shipped! Emblems were a no go as they had already been sold Also ordered a five speed shift knob that will ship as soon as he can find it .

Just thinking out loud but would the 4 spd adapter plate fit the 5 spd? Same bearings and positions?

Small progress... still blasting. Found a set inspection doors and a new gas door for the parts shelf! Also working on a new (to me) gas tank from a Canadian source! Hope to get that shipped soon....!
