Parts needed for 280Z R200 CV axle swap?

Parts needed for 280Z R200 CV axle swap?
So maybe I should just stick with the stock axles... just don't like using 40 year old parts when a better option exists for a reasonable price. More work replacing those u-joints than it's worth! ... or not...

Parts needed for 280Z R200 CV axle swap?
Starting to make more sense now.... I see the combo sets (TTT, Silvermine, etc) being sold for hi performance cars, but I am not interested in spending $800 + for a NA L28 setup...

Parts needed for 280Z R200 CV axle swap?
I searched but found no clear answers to my question of what parts I need to upgrade my R200 3.90 diff to a CV axle setup on my 280Z. I know that I can get the CV flange adapter from zcardepot to bolt the CV's to the stub axles, but I am getting conflicting info on which CV axles I need. I believe that one side is longer than the other but some parts sites are listing them as universal? Do I need the 280ZX CV's or the 300ZX Turbo axles? The ad below indicates a single CV axle for both sides... http://www.ebay.com/itm/221481941600?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT Thoughts?

I tried that too but the scraper worked better in the end. Too many creases and folds to work with.

Original sound deadener on center tunnel-78 280Z
Took me about 4 hours start to finish to remove mine with a steel scraper. Exactly like rossiz said, some was easy, other parts hard. Determination and elbow grease does it! And it's worth doing. I found cancer under some perfect looking sections...

SOLD 240Z early 260Z BC br coilovers (1969 to 1974)
I believe they are set up for each car differently. For the price difference I will be ordering a new set of 280 coilovers later this year. Not worth taking chances.

SOLD 240Z early 260Z BC br coilovers (1969 to 1974)
It's the spindle assy tube diameter that changes I believe. The 280 is a bigger diameter. The ones you have are too skinny for 280's

Do not use the global shipping program on ebay
It really sucks.... The shippers in the States like it cuz they ship cheap and local to Kentucky and then someone else deals with all the rest of the details of getting it here. The downside is we pay twice or more than what we would pay if was shipped via USPS... The mandatory "Duty" fee is bogus as it is just a percentage of the total price of the item. Then like you said, there is absolutlely no tracking other than when to expect your parcel. I heard if you add a PO to you address, the global shipping option should not pop up (Global Shipping does not do PO Boxes) Change your ebay shipping address to "PO 22 Anywhere Street" and it should drop the Global Shipping as a default on your items in the shipping info area.

Sold... where can I send payment? Seriously though, bundle these with a set of rear 240Z bumper mounting tabs for the 280 crowd and you will have a great product! I will be your first customer!

Fitting 240Z bumpers and Valences to a 280Z
It is a Canadian company selling in American dollars.... most businesses do that now to make extra profit... I would offer him less as he is now making 30% more than he did 6 months ago by selling at US prices and having Cdn costs.... my two cents anyways...

I like the idea of reusing the bumper shock mount as the new 240 bumper mount. Mainly because the factory designed that as an impact zone. I like the looks of tour new plate that incorporates a tow hook mount too. If the two could be combined (a bumper mount and tow hook mount) using the bumper shock mount location you are using now, that would be a win win!
