Most Expensive Z So Far
And for us Canadians, with a dollar sinking fast, I expect my build to end up over 45,000 easily. And that's with me doing 90% of the labour. Add another $20,000 if I was outsourcing easily.... And when I'm done, it'll be worth $27,000 on the street... Good thing I'll never sell it!

Tip of the Week: Replace the grit in your media blasting bucket after approx 10 filter/recycles max.... After about 25 filter/recycles, I am now working in a black cloud of grit dust that is obscuring all vision and blasting efficiency has been reduced to 20-30% at best.... I will be picking up new grit tomorrow!

lol, I'm jealous of your level of completeness! I am glad I have a 18CFM 60 Gallon. It runs non-stop almost while I'm blasting but pressure never drops below 100psi. I let it rest every bucket refill. If I stop blasting for a minute or two it catches up and shuts off. I bought the moisture separator from Princess Auto and it has been fantastic. Removes all the moisture in the system.

What's in YOUR garage?
Currently, my garage has my summer weekend car, the 2010 370Z under it's winter nightie... Besides her, are my dailies. A 2008 Lincoln MKX (stock image. No idea why I have no pictures of mine!) and a 2013 Hyundai Turbo Veloster (posing here with my lovely wife who drives it!) The garage also hold a my Craftsman Kohler tractor and my son-in-laws Vulcan 800... The back shop holds the 280Z as she undergoes restoration...

Well, the asphalt undercoating is history. Let the sandblasting begin! So far so good. My sandblaster seems to have a hard time with a full load of grit in the bucket. Almost like the hose diameter is too small for the weight of the media. I remove all but a cup or two of media from the gravity fed bucket and it works awesome! Gonna have to re-jig this somehow. When it works, it works extremely well.

The car was never in an original enough state to restore it to factory. Replacement panels, multiple paint jobs and body work etc. Plus my wife wanted a safer and more modern version of the 280. It will be a resto-mod and be somewhat true to original. The main visual cue will be the 240 bumpers on the car instead of the 5mph monsters. Thanks Matt! Same to you!
