They are stainless steel from Skillard. There is an isolator between the tank and strap. I used heavy duty vinyl? floor edging material. It’s back in my thread about two years... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Well, when the garage gets it’s 4 post lift upgrade, there will be a 76 280 and a 66 Roadster in there with the 10 370. And a Lincoln MKX and a Veloster Turbo! The Lincoln Mark LT has to stay outside though...! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

FAIL REPORT: So somehow I managed to dent the fuel tank after I mounted it. I think I lifted the front end and the jack might have been below the tank. Either way a nice rectangular dent about 1/4” deep was in the left side of the tank. Sanded, filled, sanded and resprayed in satin black. No pic of the dent sorry. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

You have to walk around the car with your eyes closed to find the low spots. The hand is very sensitive and can find flaws the eyes miss. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Ooooo so much progress! . Can’t see any difference in the pics from a week ago. The difference is the panels are now flat! Hoping to get hi build sprayed in the next couple of days. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Shouldn’t make that much difference. I have been using the string method for years and have been surprisingly accurate when I get it onto an alignment rack. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

As I suspected, last night a group of bored leprechauns decided to hold a tap dance competition on the roof of SASSZ... left me with some work today. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I just returned from Cuba to Canada. A passenger was removed from our flight upon arrival by paramedics. No disclosure of why. I was told to self isolate (by the Army) and sent home. I developed a cold two days later. Runny nose, minor sore throat and a light cough, no fever. I went back in to get tested and they told me I didn't meet the criteria for getting tested as I had no fever. So here I sit. However.... The public health minister in Alberta self isolates herself because she has a "minor sore throat" no other symptoms, and is immediately tested and has results testing negative in 24 hours..... and is back to work the next day. I guess some people are more special than others and that politicians can't be bothered with self isolation and missing work or social/family contact. While the rest of the population is forced to sweat out two weeks of isolation not knowing if they are infectious or not.... Triage only applies when it is done fairly and evenly across all the spectrum of the population. Rich and famous people and politicians should not be getting preferential treatment...
  23. Yours is looking amazing so far. I think your final result will be beautiful. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Interesting. My body shop supply house wants to go over a few products with me. The owner is an experienced painter. He wants to help me get a nice base sealer on before the paint. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Water based base coat or solvent? I am using water based. And what sealant do you have in mind? I am nearing the sealant stage too and am little confused as what to use. I want it to be a perfect seal coat that just needs a tack rag before base. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
