I will be going down to Calgary next week to visit Kent’s shop again. And to pick up the roadster! This COP bracket is two piece aluminum and a much more intricate piece than I first envisioned. I will let Kent speak to its construction if he wants...

Well the cats out of the bag as they say! Some refinement to come and two tone powder coat etc. This is some fantastic work by Kent!

It’s a close custom mix. More metallic and a tad lighter.
  13. Remember that the vehicle has to retain 50% of the stock metal or more to be considered the same car....

These were Fairlady’s first, and only became known as Roadsters in North America. The Fairlady badging was removed for NA and just Datsun 1600 was left.

Well, considering the 280 gets the Lionesses share of my time, the 370 was only driven a handful of times last year... now she sees a new threat to her attention! PS: My daughter named the 370 "RoZy" ('cause she is coloured black rose) and my grandson named the 280 "SASSZ" after Sally in Cars. He just couldn't pronounce it... I wonder what the Roadster should be nicknamed? How about "R Lady"? As in Roadster Fairlady...!

Look at the VTO offerings. I have the wheels in 16x8 +3 (off of a 72 240Z that was parted) and they will fit fine on my 76 280Z. The 73 did not have coilovers.

  20. View Advert Vintage-Air Slide Controls These are the basic electronic climate controls for a heat, cool and defrost system. They do not fit easily into the stock 280Z control opening but the housing can be modified. I believe this unit fits the 240Z console better. Dimensions are 4.63-inches wide x 2.44-inches tall x 2.625-inches deep. Full installation manual on the Vintage Air website. Sells new for $75 on the website. This has never been used and is perfect. $50 plus shipping. Advertiser wheee! Date 03/15/2019 Price $50.00 Category Parts for Sale

It will take powder, but hot coating works best. Or a combination of the two is what I usually do.

Which one? The 370Z or the 280Z? Probably the 370....

Cleaned up the pan and layed down some JB Weld like bondo. When it cures, I will sand it down smooth for powder coating.

I think I will make this one a stock restore. Let someone else mod it to their tastes. It will be for resale eventually.
