Try the Eastwood Internal Frame Coating for those inside areas of rust you can’t get to Jeff. Works great and creeps really well. It also comes with an application hose/wand.

Not a lot to report lately. I have been working on a lot of small part refurbishment and powder coating. Which means a lot of sandblasting and detailing... I did find a set of Interlouver louvers on eBay that I ordered. Used and partly stripped with missing hardware, but alas, beggars can't be choosers. @zKars has already hooked me up last year with the trim mounting hardware so hopefully I can make a functional set out of these. Not sure how they will look in the end, but I am very nostalgic towards having these on the car. This is how I remember seeing my first 280 back in high school!

Free radiator what should I get?
Technically the greater the AMP's, the greater the number of winding's in the alternator and the higher cost of manufacture. The resistance of the commutator is negligible and should not cost "more HP" to turn. The magnetic interference on a newer style alternator should actually be a HP "win" in the long run. I plan on running a modern 3 wire 10SI GM style alternator in my resto-mod. 100+ AMP style... The bottom line is the draw from the car. A stock configuration won't consume that much power at all, however if you add a big sound system and speakers, electronic niceties like power steering, power windows, hi power lighting.... you will need the modern higher amp alternator. Losing 1-2 HP for that is worth it.

So after three attempts to deliver the correct gas tank straps, I have received the correct set as of today! Skillard makes a great products and the quality is awesome. At least now I have the correct lengths for my 76! The previous 77-78 version was an inch or so short each side. The 70-74 set were wildly different. 77-78’s here next to the originals.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING
Interesting as in relatives that come for Thanksgiving and stay till Christmas? .... yikes!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING
In Canada, Thanksgiving is more of a minor holiday. Christmas is the big one here. I find my American friends place a bigger emphasis on the Thanksgiving get together than Christmas. I assume there is a substantially larger Jewish population in the US than Canada. We have a larger Ukrainian population that celebrate Sviatyi Vechir (holy evening) in January.

Any Oregon Z Car Club members here?
I am interested in talking to members from the Oregon area Z Car club (http://datsunsnw.org) to see if there is any interest in becoming a “sister” club to the Edmonton Z Car Club (http://www.edmontonzcarclub.com/pages/main.html)! We are interested in partnering with another group to do meets and fun runs. We would love to see if both of our memberships would be interested in driving to each other’s locale in alternate years. The route takes us through some great national parks and the awesome Rocky Mountains. Let me know if there is any interest! I am one of the vice-presidents of the Edmonton Z Car Club.
