  1. I removed 80lbs of undercoat at least so I am not concerned with the soundmat. Plus it’s butyl, not asphalt so it’s a bit lighter. I do have the closed cell foam floor mat to go on top of the floor pans too. The rest will get carpet backing and carpet to cover it. I also have the Techno Toy Tuning spare tire cover in powder coat for the rear!
  2. I am glad it’s mostly over. Still the doors to do....
  3. Sound mat complete!
  4. Americans... late to the table! Thanksgiving was a month and a half ago!
  5. 50” from floor to pivot point. The ceiling is only 8’ so it’s tight. But it works!
  6. No issue as I am going carpet over the towers and wheel humps!
  7. This is a dead simple rotisserie. No drop or balance, just a welded angle iron beast bolted to the bumper mounts. Front is bolted to the 76 shock mounts and the rear is bolted to the bottom valance bumper mounts as used by the 240’s. I welded in the openings from the rear bumper shock mounts. I will get some measurements for you.
  8. Mine was five coats... original, respray same colour, respray same colour, respray same colour, then respray puke gold. I went down to bare metal. I also found two donor panels from another car under all the bondo and paint.
  9. It is a huge benefit having the rotisserie in the shop!
  10. Roof lining going in...
  11. Skillard has a lot of cool products. I have a few of them myself!
  12. ..... and I’m back! A little work tonight on the sound mat. Finished the underdash area.
  13. I hear you Jim, I just can't stand the drama of facebook and the constant ads etc. I let my wife do the facebooking with the kids etc.
  14. True, but that’s why I resurrected the two old ones I had... rare but still functional.
  15. I trust the forum. Facebook is a business to make money. The forum is a group of friends helping each other. I like that.
  16. Double post deleted
  17. New 240 sending units are still so cheap though. The 280 ones are made of unicorn bone.
  18. I wonder if that tank couldn’t be saved with an internal coating and a thick coat of silver por on the outside. The high metal content version. Then a bond coat of primer and a final black coat.
  19. And multiply your budget by 5.... ask me how I know...
  20. 2+2? Never! Abomination!.... but I LOVE this car! Can’t reconcile my feelings.
  21. I forgot my early 76 is a Canadian model too... series 2A?
  22. Me likey! I’ll take it!
  23. I have a series 2, 280z (early 76)
