And because I’m a focused individual... squirrel!.... where was I? Oh yeah, port matching the throttle body to the intake! A sharp blade to trace the wider opening on the throttle body This is a significant amount of extra air!! Then overlay the gasket on the intake manifold for tracing All that’s left is the grinding...!

Some test fitting shows the bracket will be up against the rad support wall so I trimmed the bracket down. The full range of motion will have the strut fully extended at open and fully closed at hood closed. Not a lot of extra room but this should work! I plan on leaving the torsion bar fittings on the hinges as a backup system.

Cleaned up the front bumper shock mount areas a bit. Prepping for the gas shock hood mod. Sandblasted the old lifts All the parts needed Cut off the screw mounts on the ball heads and position for welding Comparison of the uncut head with the cut threads version The plan is to finish prepping the hinges, then position the lower bracket and weld it to the frame. Arrrgh! A twin to my 9/75! There are probably many pieces I could use. Do you have the carpet retainers for the drive and passenger side footwells? They hold the carpet against the firewall. I cold also use the speedo cable and hood release firewall grommets if they are in good shape. PM sent.

Rusty Fairlady for $28k?
I would be very surprised if it went for closer to $20,000 USD. Not that I don’t believe it’s worth what someone is willing to pay, as much as I personally could not imagine paying that much for a blank canvas. In any case, I hope it gets purchased and restored.

Rusty Fairlady for $28k?
Interesting car. Not in terrible shape and the hood can be easily replaced. The tow bar is a throw away and the patina can be left or fixed as desired. I would say as a rare right hand drive car, it holds a certain appeal for many. Not my cup of tea, but I would say it sells for close to $12,500. The completeness of the car is a big selling feature.

Home Built Z 'Full video build'
All good stuff Jeff, but I would still replace that moustache bar... Also, the side quarter vents that you sprayed, they are directional. Make sure they are mounted on the proper side of the car. As a footnote as well, the vents are still available from Nissan new for about $35 apiece! I bought brand new ones for my build.... The manifold studs are readily available in kits from Z Car Depot and others. Much easier to work with the studs than bolts!
