Interesting wire connector
I am a little old fashioned I guess. I still prefer a “western union” with a solder bond and heat shrink tubing. This style does provide a slim finish though. Looks like the wire tore before the solder joint so that’s good.

For Jim and the gang in Alberta.. Stand up to watch!
I ordered some sunshine for tomorrow as Jim drives up for a visit! +13 C for tomorrow! Sadly that is extremely warm compared to the last month.

I hear you Richard. The Z Car club cancelled the fall rally/drive this year due to the weather. Such a shame when we only get 90 days of driving weather.

75-76 fuel sending unit needed!
unicorn..... I had no luck sourcing one a couple years ago. I had to buy a tank with old unit inside. Even that took two years to find.

Not all 280’s came with 5 spd’s. 75 & 76 were 4 spds and I think late 77’s came with 5 spd. I might be wrong on when they appeared. There is a lot of room in the drivers area. And the good news for you is that the 2+2 is the least desirable of the models for most people so you will be able make a good deal if you don’t let on you’re looking for a 2+2! And the manual tranny swap is mostly pedal box, clutch linkage and a little trimming of the tunnel opening if you are putting a 5 spd in a 240. The steering column is the same.
