The early 75 280's, up until August 76 were different in some ways. They used a lot of the 260Z parts. The door cards are the biggest headache. The doors and cards switched to the new style in August and finding the old style cards is next to impossible. A 240 door card is a closer match. The door latches and hardware changed as well. Your production date is in the driver door jamb tag.

    Stay tuned for big news....!
  6. I know the buyer appreciates all this pre-sale inspection and maintenance.... [emoji6]
  7. This is very interesting! Mismatched hardness seems the culprit or possibly a poor break in period? Bad oil in the beginning?

The stock 280 bar is too long to fit behind the diff (AZC moustache bar mount) and must be mounted from the front. Therefore, one that was a rear mount will be too short to mount on the 280 from the front. However, the ST sway should bolt up behind the diff of a 280 with a mounting kit no problem.
  9. Have you tried hitting up AZC and TTT for similar discounts? Would be a nice bonus considering all the business our members do with them.

Maybe 1 - 2 minutes? Really quick. I moved it around to avoid any heat in one area over another.

Playing with the Mirror Black powder coat too. Has a nice metallic sparkle in it. No idea why I bought it other than it looked cool!

Tested out the new plastic stripper wheel from Eastwood tonight. A small patch to see how effective it was and I was pleasantly surprised. Not much heat buildup and strips quickly through aftermarket paint, two layers of primer, one layer of factory paint and a factory primer to bare metal.
  15. So far about 36 sq ft. I still have the doors and hatch to do.
  16. Consider I am a Battle Tank mechanic working in 80 tonne war machines at about 140 decibels and you can understand how I appreciate a quiet ride....!
  17. I will have carpet over the entire back end but I lined the inside of the cubbies.
  18. Looks great! You are lucky to have a good powder shop nearby. My experience was not so good here. I paid hundreds of dollars for two exhaust tips to be powder coated. I never got a quote under $200 for any one piece... way too expensive for all powder work I have done. My home kit cost under $500...

Yup. My fault. I was having issues uploading images in Tapatalk and the problem ending up being I had to log out and back in. I had been working with them on this. Thanks Chris!
