Hey everyone! Joining up on a couple Z forums so this is my intro post. I'm a recent college grad (Mech Eng from Virginia Tech) and I picked up a 1978 280Z from California and had it shipped to me in Charleston, SC about a month and a half ago. The car has an incredible interior for its age and minimal rust on the underside. Body panels are a bit dinged up but I've already acquired a few replcements. Came with an L28, R200, 83 5-speed swap, poly bushings all around, CAI, and some lowering springs. Short term, I plan on getting an MSA 6-3-2 header, Twice Pipes, and some wider wheels/tires. I'm currently waiting for a few remaining parts to do my Dapper Lighting projector swap. My long term plans are in three stages. Stage 1 is fixing the body panels, small rust repair, flares, fender mirrors, and paint. Stage 2 is a drivetrain and suspension overhaul including a 2jz, R154, and all the Arizon Z Car parts I can find. Stage 3 is the interior, which will be updated to match the rest of the car.
