  1. It was pretty good: father handing down his Z to his pretty daughter, nice respect for the Z car, well executed repairs and a happy ending. Excellent Wednesday night TV.
  2. So what size would fit Koenig Rewinds? 60mm, 63mm or 73mm ?
  3. @240260280 Philip, after an electrical mishap I think I'm in need of your fuse blocks as well to replace the fusible links on my '78 280Z. Could we arrange that please?
  4. I bought a 2.5lb Kidde unit and mounted it behind the passenger seat by using a 5"x10" piece of 5mm thick black ABS plastic with 4 riv nuts placed to coincide with the fire extinguisher's bracket holes. I placed the ABS base under the carpet and secured it to the floor with 3M heavy duty double stick tape, replaced the carpet and put 4 bolts through the base and carpet into the riv nuts. Finally I placed the extinguisher into it's very secure base.
  5. Those are made to order by a company called Performance Pedals. Here's the link for the 280Z pedals but they make them for every year S30. https://www.performancepedals.com/collections/nissan-billet-pedal-sets/products/nissan-280z-billet-pedal-covers-performance-pedals
  6. Finally got around to placing the lettering labels on the radio faceplate. I think it looks much better than without it. It almost makes the Retrosound radio look stock. Here's a pic.
  7. Update: Finally got around to swapping out the Momo for the Datsun Compe wheel. I love it! the feel and fit are perfect and it looks just right. Anyone interested in the Momo wheel?
  8. Great buy pal! Congratulations. Enjoy the experience. Sent from my [device_name] using http://Classic Zcar Club mobile
  9. Couple of comments: Porsche owners (I currently own a 981 Cayman S) share the love for 2 seat, nimble, pure sports cars with a definite GT feel. My Cayman gives me the exact same feeling I had driving my new '77 280Z back in the day. As far as value for that '77 280Z, @riverstonefly2 years ago I paid $18,000 for my 90,000 mile, extremely original, rustfree "78 280Z (no sunroof, impeccable interior) that was only missing the original radio and wheels. Depending on the mechanicals, and the actual quality of the body panels and chassis, I think that candidate is very strong and although a price of 10K would be fantastic, I don't think it's very realistic. I think a fair price would be between 16 and 20K in the current market. That would still make it a good deal since your expenses to bring it to excellent shape would be very reasonable due to the overall condition. The bonus is that despite the opinions of all the 240Z owners on the forum (no nasty comments please ), the 280Z will provide you with a much more refined drive, similar to your SC !
  10. Cannot imagine how you could improve anything on that car. Beautiful!
  11. Welcome pal. Cool car but your Dad is way cooler!
  12. The Lambo Arancio Borealis is an amazing color! It's very vivid but not crazy loud. The Lambo paints are extremely hard to touch up properly if the need arises (hopefully not) but the end result justifies the difficulty. I ended using Lamborghini Arancio Argos Pearl on my 280Z and I couldn't be happier with my choice even 2 yearts after the fact. Just happened to be that the base pigment for the Arancio Argos is almost excatly the same as the original 110 paint on my Z. Here's a pic or 2 of the color.
  13. Amazing craftmanship! Very close to perfection! Congrats!
  14. Even if you're restomodding a 280Z, a cracked dash has very few options: extremely time consuming repair (with mediocre results), a terrible looking dash pad OR a new dash pad if available. The last option is the obvious choice for me.
  15. It works great as a carb cleaner as well!
  16. I wasn't sure where to place this post but I'm sure we will all enjoy it. Be patient and watch this Jimmy Kimmel clip until the end because the only guy that doesn't want to impeach Hillary Clinton is proudly wearing a DATSUN cap! Way to go team!!!!!
  17. Just copied your order. Thanks for taking the trouble to post the link and list.
  18. I love that compe wheel! I just bought a replica from Japan to replace the MOMO "Nero" wheel I put in my 280. Although the MOMO is certainly beautiful I felt the need to have a wheel that is more period correct. I should be getting it tomorrow. If anyone is interested in the MOMO, pm me and I'm sure we can work something out. Of course I have my original wheel in proper storage in case I ever want to use it.
  19. Hood looks beautiful and the color is vivid! Loving it. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G925A using Classic Zcar Club mobile
