Showus Yuh Wheels, Aussie!!
Thanks for finding the pics Rick. Can't say I'm actually that big a fan of the caps... I dunno, just not my thing. I can see that they suit an original looking zed well though.

Showus Yuh Wheels, Aussie!!
Hey Rick, Do you have a close pic of these centre caps? I can't quite see them in the pics in your gallery. Also, what size are your wheels? They look a bit skinnier than mine (14x7 with 225s). One more question! Are yours Performance Hotwires, or Cheviot Hotwires?

In 6 months to a year I might just be interested in an RB conversion in my zed. Keep us updated.

Aussie 240K on Ebay
....and another. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=2030&item=4535183771&rd=1 It's a bit rough, but would be a good buy at the current price.

15" Rewinds
Shouldn't the ideal tire size for the 15x7s be a 225/55-15? That'd keep the same diameter as original........or is there simply no tires available in that size?

14 x 7 hotwires here (as I bought it). Not a huge fan of them, but I spose they do suit it fairly well. What do I want? Hmmm Watanabe....

Ultimate Garage
Will: The way he talks about it, it sure sounds like a business.

Ultimate Garage
But.....if you owned one of those exotics, where are you going to take it, a shity looking messy shed, or a clean and well designed workshop? Or maybe more to the point, where would the average ferrari owner take theirs? I think you have to keep in mind the clientele that this place is aimed at.

Sr20 Zed
Mick: Well coming from a 2.4/2.6L 6 cyl to a 2L 4 cyl, my initial thought is also that it's a bit small.... However, keep in mind that the zed is a few hundered kg lighter than the car the SR20 is coming from.

Aggressive throttle
Maybe if you can somehow try and force a thicker grease down around the shaft? You could also try one of the silicone based lubricants, they seem to have better longevity than WD40.
-
Aggressive throttle
It'll probably be easiest to remove the throttle body from the car. I'd guess the shaft wont be easily removeable (but might), but having it out of the car will allow you to clean and lubricate it all properly. If you do identify it as being the TB with the problem then you can always look around for another one in better condition.

Aggressive throttle
It's not that, as the throttle shaft runs down the centre of the butterfly, the force on the butterfy from the air/vacuum is the same on either side. Hence the air can't try and "turn" the butterfly in either direction. My understanding of the problem is that it's purely due to worn linkages. The same problem affects both those of us with SUs and those of us with FI.

Aggressive throttle
Biker: It's FI and you're looking at the throttle body.

L.E.D Solutions for dash and other LIGHTS?
Crikey that's bright! Good to see a wider angle too... What have been you findings so far in how many LEDs of a given cd compare to a bulb of a given wattage? Roughly what's required?
-
L.E.D Solutions for dash and other LIGHTS?
Surface mount will be too small, too weak an output per LED and much more fiddley to work with.

L.E.D Solutions for dash and other LIGHTS?
Hey Will, Maybe if you post up a description of what you've tried so far (and some photos would be good), then the rest of us can put our minds together and think of some ways in which the design can be improved. Justin

Well I suppose the increased prices are good in a way for those of us that already own zeds. The way these prices are going I will most certainly be hanging onto mine and fixing the last few things that need doing.
