Agreed! Was my kind of heaven there! Took ~100ish photos. I'll upload them some time next week when my ADSL is up again.

2006 Japanese Car Show (QLD, Australia)
Seeing as I live in brisbane now.....I'll be there with bells and whistles on! I'm looking forward to this! I'll also most definitely have my camera with me. As for my zed car, I'll hopefully have it down here by then, but it wont be in a condition worth showing for some time yet. Edit: Will definitely have to try and meet with any of you that are there!

For Sale but not on Ebay - my 260Z turbo special

Your opinion on tires.
Four years ago when I got the current set on my zed they were apparently out of production and stock was low. Today I just asked in the tire shop if they had anything in that size...totally didn't expect they'd still have some in stock! I've also be hugely impressed with them. Just huge amounts of grip. Through some twisty roads my zed just slaughters some of my mates MUCH more powerful imports. I've got some quite good mileage out of them too. Not sure of the exact figure, but it'd be going on 30k km. Not bad for a soft tire and the way I drive it. Sure do....and I love it! The avatar is just a photo shop lowering job. It's still totally stock as is, but it's in excellent condition for its age. I've only owned it a few months now and wont be touching it till I'm ready to do it properly. The plan is to turn it from this, into this. Similar anyway.

Your opinion on tires.
I just found out at the tire shop this morning that we can still get our hands on the Yokohama A509s in a 225/60-14 over here is australia. That's what I'm currently running on my zed car and I'm very happy with them. Looks tough with a tire that wide too.

Cleaning out the shed. Few spare parts.
Excellent. Consider that sold. I'll be down there in two weeks time, so hopefully it's ok if I pick it up then?

This is weird
You'll want to check first if the alternators is actaully buggered, or if it's just the regulator. I've had similar problems with my zed car and it was just the regulator.
-
This is weird
Definitely an alternator issue mate (or regulator). The "warning buzzer" sound is relay chatter. It happens when you have a flat battery and the relay can't stay closed.

Rear Strut inserts
Early 260Zs (like mine) most certainly have the smaller 51mm strut. Off the top of my head I thought it was upto around october '74. Could be wrong on the exact date. Anyone happen to have a spare pair of rear strut/hub/lower control arm assemblies from a 240Z or early 260Z laying around?

Aussie 240Z's Availability
I'd say they've roughly doubled in price over the past 5 years or so.

My First Drag Strip Experience
Likewise I've been tempted to take my 1.2L Sunny out there to race against my mates 1.2L '76 Corolla. Shitter car races are the best!

My First Drag Strip Experience
Great time there George! That's pretty nuts in a little car like the zed! I'm looking forward to hitting the strip here again when my new motor is in, though I wont be running anywhere near that fast. The other thing is our strip here has pretty poor traction.....I struggle to better a 2.4 60'.

260z coupe in Aus
Hmm....less than 5k and more than 2k.

fast cars???
Getting the HP in a zed to do it really isn't hard at all. What is hard is the aerodynamics to keep it on the road. Just slapping and air dam on the front at a wing on the back doesn't consitute the required aerodynamics either. At those speeds it's a fine line between having the required downforce to keep the car stable and having a slippery enough drag coefficient. Without knowing there was some serious development and testing behind the aero package I sure as hell wouldn't be piloting any car to that speed.

electric distributor for 240z?
My L26s vac advance unit is also stuffed.....so I'm also wondering if there's a rebuild kit available?

Oz ebay - 240Z carbies going cheap.
The casting of the domes doesn't look like the british SUs I once had.

What is the biggest zize of wheels....
How about under the ZG flares? What would be the max there?
-
What is the biggest zize of wheels....
Sooo....if I had coil overs and flares, how wide could I theoretically go? 11"? That's pretty damn huge for such a little car!
-
What is the biggest zize of wheels....
Fair enough....learn something new everyday. Rolled lip isn't quite stock though is it!
-
What is the biggest zize of wheels....
You simply wont fit wheels that wide under the stock arches. To go to those sort of widths you'd need to be using flares.

Bathurst Prince meetup
Very nice! Would have loved to have seen that group together!

LD28 crank $$$
...or you could sell it to me cheap cheap cheap so I can build a 3L grunter for the 260C. P.S. Don't do this.
