Konig Rewind photoshop
Oh yes, Aussie Zed, what prices have you seen for the Konigs in 15" and where from? They should be a good bit cheaper now than when I was last looking, due to the free trade agreement.

Konig Rewind photoshop
Aussie: I'm looking at the rewinds for my zed too....also a red one. While I generally like a charcoal coloured wheel with the polished lip, I think with the red paint it just doesn't quite work. The silver/lighter grey would look fantastic and would certainly be the more generally accepted look, however I'm very tempted to go for them in all black/charcoal, no polished lip. I'm a bit of a sucker for that look. He posts over on Performance Forums. I have his contact if anyone that wants it. Same problem here. I quite like my 14" hotwires, they suit the car very well. But once the Yoki A509s that are on there now wear out, there'll be VERY little choice in the way of replacements. Agreed. Same reason I prefer the Konigs.

How fast will it really go?
I've had my zed at about 170km/h and I don't think I'd do it again......it's not to steady on the less at perfect bitumen around here. Now, 270km/h, you'd either have to be either insane, stupid, or both. That speed on a public road would be the later, and nothing else.

Gold 15x7 Konig rewinds on Ebay
You'd need to go to a 215/55-14 to keep the same diameter as your current 14" tires. Edit: Just remembered, you wont find any tires in that size, so you have to go oversize to a 60 profile or undersize to a 50.

240K on Ebay...
Thanks Stephen. We'll I have a zed with that problem right here! Mind you, it aint a zed box in it....possibly a K box.

240K on Ebay...
Is this a common problem specifically with the K boxes by any chance? Why doesn't anyone ever sell a K up here! I want one.

4" Exhaust Tip Too Big?
Well....outright, it aint that blingin' really... But I'm a pretty anti-bling kinda guy, so, in my book....

4" Exhaust Tip Too Big?
Yes. My zed.... 2.25" pipe straight out the back, painted matte black. Looks great IMO, suits the car quite well. IMO, a car with a shape as great as the zed, doesn't need any bling to make it look good. Such things are just a distraction from it's true beauty.

Installing an amp, easy or hard?
Mate, you can get the pioneer CD player is going to be pumping out a sh*t load more power than the stock zed stereo ever did. For your average user, most head units will provide more then enough power for a set of 6" speakers. What are the speaker in the rear? Not the originals I hope. That'd be the first thing I'd be replacing if you're chasing decent sound.

Stuff for sale - cheap
I'm chasing some 240Z rear struts. Not interested in the inserts or brakes....just the strut and hub assembly. Maybe lower control arms too.

Spring choice in Oz
I agree with Nacks that the Kings are a definitely on the soft side. Mine are progressive rate though (It's an early 260 2 seater, so they use 240Z suspension. The 260Z kings aren't progressive).

4.0 Liter inline 6.
If you want a big cube I6, I think it'd be hard to go past the aussie ford falcon 4L twin cam inline 6 (neglecting two issues, does it fit and can you get one to the US for reasonable $). The stock NA engine pumps out a solid 190kW. There's also the turbo versions at 240kW and 270kW. Nizpro offers a kit for the NA motor that will bring it upto 270kW (retaining as good as stock driveability) for about AU$7k. The turbo motors they're now pulling well over 1000HP from. It'd no doubt be a little heavy in a zed, but for straight line work......it'd be a weapon.
