    I was thinking with SCCA that you could swap the regular 280z engine. I am pretty sure it the same family and or class. However 200 horses sound pretty for a 240z. I had not did anything to this car yet. Just looking for ideals.

    Well, my brother and I am looking at SCCA racing. I know some classes you can do engine swaps, but it has to be from the same family. So we have been looking into right now. I know that they consider 240z, 260z, and 280z part of the same class. 280zx are in a different class. I believe that is because 280zx 81-83 were trubo. The guy who had the car before me use it to race. He put a cage in it and lowered it. He told me the engie was stock and is was putting 20-50 oil in it. Which to me was pretty thick. I can only drive the car in warm weather. Its has to be adlest 50 out or it will have trouble with it while driven. I am parting out my other 240z. I was just thinking since I was going to try to race it, it would be good to have another block.

    Hello my name is Marvis. I was wonder can you get serious power of of the L24 block. And if you can how. Everyone tells me to just go with the L28 block and tubro charge it but I would like to see what can a L24 do. I would adlest like to get more then my 240sx. It all stock.

    Hello My name Marvis, I need some advice on a problem I have. About a year ago I went out and bought a 240z 71. I thought I was getting a pretty go deal:rambo: . I paid $700.00 for the car $300.00 for shipping. I knew there would be that needed to be done, but I didn't think it would be this much:sleepy: . My biggest concern is all the rust. There is not alot of rust on the body. Most of the rust is on the bottom of the car. You can the ground in alot of spots. When I first got it the car, a few friend and I tryed to get the car running. We got the car started, but while trying to change the oil I was touch the bottom of the car. Every place my hand touched went right in the car:disappoin . I didn't even have to push. The rust is even on the frame on the right side frame. The driver side door barely close because of the frame rust there. I just wondering would I be better of getting a Z thats not as bad a this one. The engine run ok, but whoever had it before me tryed to put a home made turbo on it. When it back fires a little flame shots out were the air fitler should be. The brake like are jacked. There no brake presure at all. I get presure from my family to junk it. What should I do?
