Site, Is that Buddy's butt and tail under the dizzy? How about a head shot, or better yet a nose to tail tip shot? Dog lovers just want to see. Jai

EDIT: Just read Zed Head's post, I agree with him. I know how much better I feel after a good shower. To answer both of you. I was thinking about the "driving better" last night. You know, I'm convinced that it has something to do with the atoms, at the molecular level. Making the cars so slick they just part the air before them as they go. Deep subject! You know at the "sight unseen" level. Snicker... Jai

Dear one, you forget, I'm 73. I don't know how much more fast is in me! Unfortunately social security prevents me from doing mods. I just need to get all the basic stuff taken care of so we can fly into maturity together! Next biggy to save for is a new clutch. See? Have a great evening all.... Jai

Hi Y'all... Today is the day, RedBird had her Nasty oil changed. Whoot, whoot, whoot! It was thought that her drain plug was cross threaded since it wouldn't loosen, and because of that the long delay happened. But it was not cross threaded, just tightened way too much. We are so happy! I was concerned because I was hearing engine noises I thought I shouldn't hear. I finally asked Greg if he would suggest someone, and he told me about Pete that has worked on his Z. (Thank you SO MUCH Greg.) Well, if good enough to work on his Z, that was recommendation enough for me. Anyone think you can feel the car driving smoother? I swear she is. Enough so that I drove the long way home, and for a while pushed her close to 85. I'd never driven her that way, again was thinking of the gunky oil. So this was to flush the new oil thru and thru everwhere, One more milestone behind us. Thank you everyone, I have a wonderful running car thanks to you, Jai
  9. Photo the day she arrived. It was 1 year ago today, plus 1 day, that ..... My Beautiful RedBird arrived in my life!!! Purchased in Dec 2015, stopped on her way from Miami in Jacksonville for some repairs, then on to me. I am so excited at having my lovely RedBird, I just wanted to post a note and share with you all my joy! She now has gone a month with her new/old ECU, and has no more of the worrying problems I/we had been dealing with. Again, I am sending volumes of appreciation to each of you that have made suggestions, sent parts, and have driven distances to do the hands on work on her. All of you are wonderful! I've never known such a great bunch of strangers actually, to rise to my assistance, surging forward on your AmaZing Z Steeds. To say Thank You, in pouring out my heart, I am humbled. God bless you everyone. Jai

Thank you, I'll have to check for that!
  13. I did have his child, a son. Good enough? Before he left us, he had a Lotus Elan. That darned thing, he spent every weekend putting it back together, as it rattled apart during the week. Ha! I say he got what he deserved, and after he was gone I got the prize... The Z!!! He turned green when he found out! Oh, I'm bad, but it was so good. Revenge??? Hmmmm......
  14. I remember the guys wearing white jeans in high school. And white buck shoes too! That's what my husband used to wear, thrilled me. He is long gone now, but we grew up together, learned how to be adults together. It ended just before I got my 1971 Redwing Z. Life sure was different. We were all more youthful then! Try thrift stores when you look for your jacket. I'll check out the chat. Thanks...

I finally found some grip tape that will serve me well I think. I tried some from the hardware store, but felt like it is not rough enough, it has worn down already. This tape is X-Coarse Anti Slip Tape High Grip Adhesive Backed. It was the coarsest I could find, and cheaper than the full skateboard size. It is 50mm X 1 meter, so I'll not have to cut it out, just trim it off. I ordered it from the UK. I have a pair of shoes that work perfect, and I plan to put a matching piece if the tape on the ball of the foot, to the front edge of the shoe. Then just wear the left shoe, using it against the pedal that is covered with the same tape. And changing the shoe when I get out of the car. I do believe I will not slip at all that way. Posting this for the several who offered ideas, to let you all know the latest. More later on how effective this is.
  16. These are very similar to my original '71 gloves. Thank you for sending this, now I know where I can get more!
  17. I'd like it. Nice to see someone with class!!!
  18. Well, not that you were asking a female. But when I bought my 1971 240Z new, I also bought short fingered knit and leather gloves. And wore them. Being 28 years old at the time, I had a sense of beauty matching my Z. Tho, I do think that possabily all of the aesthetics regarding those cars then were quite different than today. The world was a different place in time. I always had visions of being dressed to fit the vehicle. I have short leather gloves now for RedBird. But looking for knit and leather for the summer. I love them, and really don't care if anyone else does or not. I wear them for myself.
  19. Oh yes, yes, yes, she needs more miles to the final proof. But, that need not stop our mini happy celebrations. I'm with you Bob, if it wasn't right, seems like there would be signs by now. So, we shall keep on keeping on. Oh I love good news too!!! Sure beats the he77 out of bad news. Thanks again all... Jai.
  20. Momma's superly happy, thank you! Oh yes, this would not have happened for us (myself and RedBird) had it not been for the great folks on the forum. Well, this soon anyway. It might have been years if left up to what I could manage. Somber thought. The members whom all have participated, with hands on or parts, or both, have truly been a Godsend to me. I am indebited to each of you. I give a grand hats off to each of you. With many many thanks. Jai
  21. Surely you jest... I'll not miss any of that scary, tense, mindblowing activity! Hahaha... Jai
  22. Tomorrow will be 2 weeks since RedBird got her new/old ECU installed. I am very happy to report that she is running perfectly well. No exhaust smoke, no chugging/loss of power, no stalling, no refusing to start, no problems at all. Just a sweet lil kitten purring on down the road. I don't even tune into my stiff, stay alert mode for problems. Driving along as normal as can be for the both of us, what a relaxing pleasure!!! Wanted to keep you posted, we made it to the fun part! Thank you all... Jai.
