Happy Thanksgiving to all CZCC folks... I had a wonderful meal with my friends 50 miles north of my home. Sweet RedBird did the trip there and back, without even breaking a sweat. She has really come out of her ills, is running and driving just great! Whoot whoot! Coming home, I discovered a Z that had been hidden by leaves. Now bare, as the leaves have fallen. She is a 280Z, metallic blue. Once I got close, I realized she had been in a horrible accident, wiped out the whole right front side. I took some photos, will share. Wonder where the owner is, the house is empty and a for sale sign up. Wonder if any parts are good? Possible parts car? Jai 😇 🚘

Hi, Surprise, I have a new Nissan unused distributor cap and rotor. It is in a kinda beat up, original box. It was purchased for my 1971 240Z, and never installed. Not something expensive, but maybe someone needs it. Free to a new home, for shipping cost. PM me. Jai
  5. Thank you for this information Chas. Jai
  6. Are you talking to me? If so, I do not remember if sent, or remember if it was installed. I do have the gauge installed. I guess Steve will need to answer this. Thanks, Jai
  7. Reading all this. So what it is saying is: FPR'S should hold pressure overnight. Is that right? Thank you, Jai
  8. Ultimate Z Junkie, Personally, I like the idea. Sounds like a real good way to motivate some others, especially if funding their project to start, is more than their pockets have available. I bet a lot of folks are in that pickle. Naturally, like you, I am not looking to receive any of this. Plus, I would need to space my $10 payments. Count me in! I love community action making it a win-win. This group is great, by doing this it can only gain more respect from others. Jai
  9. Steve, Yes, I know you put it on tight, no question there. I'm thinking that maybe it would do me well to get a new set of full cables. The Advanced Auto man only replaced the clamp on the broken one. If the clamp is broken, perhaps the wires are weary too. Will do as soon as I can. Thank you for your answer. Jai
  10. Hi all, A question I forgot to ask about earlier. I started a topic on it, but cannot find it to add onto it. This part I'd already reported, but to refresh your memory: Regarding RedBird's mystery multiple problems. I realized there was something wrong with her old out of date, small battery, as she went roo, roo, roo when starting. I'd heard this before on other cars, so took her right to Advance Auto to have it checked out. They found out indeed the volts were low and advised a replacement. I agreed, and it was done. New: I forgot to mention to you, when he removed the clamp on the positive side it immediately broke in half. My question is, would that clamp, aged to the point of falling apart, possibly be part of RB's problems? BTW She is running and starting GREAT now. Of course, it is cooler weather, and her problems started in June when hot out. Not sure if that directly impacted her problems, could it have been coincidence? I don't know. Thank you all for your valued and right on suggestions. You are the Best. Jai 😇 🚘
  11. Good looking car, Whopping Price! Jai
  12. Wow, you all have each sent me kind words, loving my RedBird, 11 of you!!! That is so amazing, such sweet and kind members here. I feel close to each of you and wish to thank you for giving me the lovely thoughts. - When I joined this group the first week of June, I was quite a novice, never having been on a list like this. I was searching for some helpful information, knowing RB was not running right, and not trusting of local "mechanics". Most of them are barely older than these Z's. One told me "all electric systems are alike", wanting me to let him work on RB. Nope, I sure did not believe that line. You gentlemen and ladies jumped right on it, putting me safely under your wings, taking good care of us. I never have been cared for by a group of men (mostly) , who I didn't even know. But now, I am, You are the BEST. So huge THANK YOU'S, I am so greatly impressed with this group and the members. We (RB&I) would not be in this stage with her, without all that love being given to us. We sure needed it, and now she is showing the benefits. I hope I will be able to pay your kindness forward, until it covers the whole Earth. Nice thought, eh??? Jai 😇 🚘
  13. Thank you Jeff... Jai
  14. Oh Mark, that is a fantastic visual for my happiness!!! Thank you, I am beyond belief on how pleased I am with her repair. The incident was so out of my realm. I have never had an accident in my years of driving nor a traffic ticket. I am 73 now, been driving since I was 16, that's 57 years. I have always driven very defensively, I called it being careful, before that term evolved. And for that ÷*£$@₩* lady (?) to back into RB without looking, it almost made me physically sick. Oh well, that is way gone into the past now. She is home again with her new face lift and the dazzling shine! Thanks again friend, Jai
  15. So how do I reach him? Make a post asking for him? Thanks both of you, Jai
  16. And a THREE.... (Did you used to watch Lawrence Welk?)Zooming all the way... Giggle, Jai
  17. Jeff, Is he a member or a business? How do I reach him or the business? Thank you for the information. Jai
  18. Lumens.... Thank you, but that is a photographers optical illusion. Ha! Sweet RB is stock, she has only 14 inch wheels, and I think 195 75 14 tires. Oh I wish they were the larger ones. I hope someday to get a few mods, like a good sound system (only one speaker now), a different muffler for a throatier sound, better headlights as these are dim, and maybe change out the interior bulbs for red. Not much, but enough to make her unique for myself. Thanks for the love! Jai
  19. Here are my photos of RedBird, at a park on the way back home. The one with the electrical plant, I am calling POWER! The last one is of her back home again, ready to snuggle back into her safe carport. I left her out for a bit so I could go feast my eyes on her a few times before it gets dark. Oh I love her so much, I'm very happy she is back in my arms. 💜 Jai 😇 🚘
  20. These are the photos taken at the body shop. She is so Shiney and Gorgeous, I took some photos on the way home, showing her in a different light. I will post them as soon as I can. Jai 😇 🚘

Welcome... Glad to see you have joined the Finest Z - Car list. The folks here are wonderful, very knowledgeable, helpful, and just plain NICE members. I can personally attest to that fact. My 280 - Z RedBird, has been plagued with problems, and being a mature (I like that image better than the O_ _ one) Lady, I need all the help I am allowed. Hahaha... The photos of your cars are lovely. How about telling us about each of them? The members really get off on learning the nuts and bolts of all the especially new additions to the group. Enjoy the photos and articles. They are super. Jai
  22. My Dear Friends, I received THE call just now. RedBird's repairs are Complete and I am leaving shortly to go get her. Hooray!!! I will have a complete set of photos of her journey back to Beautiful, and will be posting them Here when I get back. A great Big Yahoo, I can hardly wait to Drive Her Again!!! Later gang, Jai 😇 🚘
