  3. check spark at all 6 cylinders....

try the previous one and see what happens...not out of the question to have a doa one.
  5. 26thZ....do you have a better version of that jpeg you posted? I can't read any of the numbers....
  6. I'm the networking engineer at an architecture firm...I have a buddy that is head of the Autocad department, and uses ACAD 2002 and 2005....I can run this thread by him and I'm sure he can do a drawing for us...let me know if this is of interest and what you'd want...I was thinking a cad of what 26th Z just posted...what formats? Let me know...I know networks, don't know much ACAD....but a buddy will probably say....'that'd be fun!'....let me know

I have one crack, in the middle at the front....gives her some character...I'd just get one of the carpet covers and call it good...it will protect from sunlight...without getting the expensive restore or a new dash, it just doesn't work....
  8. Well after she died, did it restart up? or it won't start now? You are getting fuel and spark...does it catch a little? No firing? We need more info, young man! Nice looking work by the way....

Final thoughts.... Zed vs. Zee....Beemer vs. Bimmer....???...I do know a name like 95BMWM3 doesn't make you look good on here....anyone can get a Bimmer....we're talking rare old 240s here.... I would not do the diesel transplant. A buddy of mine back in late 80s had a choice between 2 used maximas...a 80k regular v 6 one, and a 82 Diesel with 20k original miles...this Diesel was a perfect absolutely perfect looking car...but it was such a dog being a diesel...and it was the old style of diesel...lots of black smoke, noisy as all hell.... If I wanted better fuel economy and a 4 cyl...I'd get a 240sx, I've thought of it myself...they are pretty good looking and remind me a lot more of the 240z than the 350z....anybody serious about the 240z doesn't use them as their only car...I would get a honda or a 4 cyl nissan....if 20-24mpg out of your 240z isn't good enough. Over and out....

I wonder if they make the MSA ones where the welting is built into them....(PRP).....curious, has anyone reading this bought the welting built into them ones from MSA? What do the OEM Nissan ones cost?
  12. I think there's a fuel filter on the end of the electric fuel pump in the back...it's on the actual end of the pump...you twist it off...could be wrong though....

If the tires are near stock width, even she doesn't need power steering....Zeds have the easiest steering....gets tougher if you go wide however....that's not an easy install from what i've seen.

Chime in Tomohawk! If anyone might know, he might.
  19. take the u joint off of the end of the driveshaft, and when you replace it, place the original mounting plate (the part that attaches to the diff) from the original driveshaft on the new driveshaft new driveshaft-->u joint-->original mounting plate (that attaches to u joint) That'd work, right guys?
  20. She did get a penalty; she had to pit under green right after that. She changed tires and got more fuel.... I was rooting for her until she did the spin out...what was that all about? She looked like a girl driving! (just kidding)....that spin kinda brought reality back. Pretty good prelude to the Nascar race. I haven't watched it for a couple of years (the Indy 500)....I enjoyed it....although it is very tough watching open wheeled cars on TV because they go so darn' fast! Hope everyone had a good Memorial day!
  21. Carl, shouldn't his old driveshaft hook up to the tranny from the turbo?
  22. what about the original driveshaft?

Last summer when I replaced my 4 speed tranny with a 5 speed one, I pulled out that cable at least 10 times and reinstalled it. When I finally did use it, it worked just fine....and just put it back in, I regard it as kinda like putting a cable tv line into a vcr or tv....not very hard to do, so your problem is very strange imo.
  24. Kudos to everyone involved in helping! That's why I enjoy this website and its forums!

that housing would work great; you would probably want air horns with an air filter in the housing, with air coming from in front of the radiator; I don't believe from what I have heard that SUs benefit from a full cold air injection system.
