Fuel pressure issues...
Is this picture from another of your posts a picture of your engine? If so, are you attempting to run the EFI fuel pump with those triple carbs? Won't work.

Fuel pressure issues...
Make sure that the vacuum line between the fpr and the manifold is good and that the fpr itself holds vacuum.

Fuel pressure issues...
If the gauge is hooked up properly, that is, between the fuel filter and the fuel rail, I would rule out any kind of blockage if you're getting 100 psi. I would suspect the fuel pressure regulator. The pressure should be 36.3 according to the FSM.

77 280z Coupe - Back Window Defogger -
I'm sure he means that it requires 70 degree temp to install it. In another thread on this subject, we talked about the fact that I had purchased a replacement rear glass a few years back to solve the defroster problem. I recently checked with my source and replacements are no longer available through Nissan.

You can also use the much less expensive GM HEI module on the Nissan L series electronic distributors.

P-79 head question
I've seen 79 280ZX's with N47 heads and with P79 heads (junkyard research). My guess is that they phased out what they had leftover as they transitioned to the P79.

280zx flywheel info needed.
I found my spare and measured it and came up with basically the same measurements as did Nigel1943. Mine is a 2+2 flywheel. The outer diameter and number of teeth are the same. Where they are different is in the friction area. 225mm for the standard and 243mm for the 2+2/turbo.

What is this part???
According to Palmer's own description, we're talking about the same part. Read the second sentence in the original post. And we're talking about 280Z's. Still don't know it's purpose, however. We may never know!

Dashpot for MT swap
If you want a dashpot complete with the bracket etc., I think I have one. I kept quite a few small parts from a couple of parts cars I once had. Does your throttle chamber have the two bolt holes for it? I'm pretty sure it would since they used those until they changed to the E12-93 dizzy on the ZXs. In that case it would be an easy bolt on. Let me know and I'll look through my stuff.

Help!! 1978 280Z barely idles
You can reaplace those bearings if you can find replacements. I've done that in the past but not recently. Does the advance move freely? As far as the 'putt-putt', how's your compression? Condition of valves? Just guessing at this point since there are so many things that could cause that.

Just bought a '78 280z (pics inside)
If that muffller is center/offset you should be able to just have it removed, turned around and remounted.

BRE Tribute car for sale
Bob, nothing to worry about taking sides on. Tarmac seems to be the only one that 'went there'. What gets me is that with very few exceptions, no one has any intention of buying any of the cars that get posted here and then 'bashed' (which I really don't see here in this case). Let it ride. What Ron said was misunderstood, that's all. I doesn't require a debate. After all, the question was simply "Do we know whos car this is?"

Dashpot for MT swap
Nissan refers to that as the anti-stall dashpot. The way it effects the throttle is by dampening the last 1/2" or so of throttle when you quickly release the gas pedal in neutral. That basically keeps the throttle chamber from 'slamming shut'. That's the theory anyway. I've seen many auto-manual conversions without them that seem to work without a problem.

280zx flywheel info needed.
Take you old flywheel out and measure it or take it with you an compare it. You're going to take out anyway, right?

BRE Tribute car for sale
If that's all you get from that you need to re read it. I doubt that RC is at all concerned with parking his car at a dealership.
