I've got that one. I'm waiting for the 2009 new models which should be out soon. #2 of 15 in that series is a blue 510 2dr.

Or try a 71 sending unit.
  3. I think the webbing might have been another attempt by Nissan to lower emissions by lowering heat to the intake.
  4. I will eventually go back to Portland one way or another. I'd like to live there someday once again but it that doesn't happen our family plot is at Lincoln Memorial Park in Portland.

You might just need a vavle job but if I was going to do that I'd do rings and bearings too but that's just me.

The only cure for sucking down...what...3 qts of oil in a hundred miles is a rebuild.
  8. Hey! I'm from Oregon. Let's see....what state was the team from that beat USC effectively killing their national championship hopes?

    No rubbing whatsoever.

How wide a look do you want? Modern wide or period correct wide? 22560s do work on those rims all the other comments notwithstanding. I wouldn't go out and by new tires and rims just for the promise of a "potential handling benefit". I don't race the car, I just drive it but they do handle better that the stock size tires. But, like I said, no autocross here, or anything like that.

Bear in mind that these wheels are 5.5" wide and I've been told the same thing about them as Walter said, that is that 2256014s should only be mounted on rims that are minimum 6" wide. These tires and rims have been on my car over 5 years and I've had no problems with them.
  12. My stock California EGR/Cat intake is webbed. The ones I've seen are pretty much all California cars so basically that's all I can speak of.

When you say 'Factory 4 spoke rims' do you mean these? (Arne must have forgotten about these) I have 2256014s on them with no problems.
  14. From what I understand 75-76 are the same and 77-78 are the same or so I've been told. Compared a 75 and a 78 in the junkyard and I think they're all the same until the ZX. Fuel rails changed but I don't think the intake manifolds did. It's the exhaust manifolds that were different depinding on whether the head was a N42 or a N47.

Yeah it looks like they missed the setup by little. Greg's car was fast enought to win however.
  16. I took it the other way. That is, I thought he was saying the the dealers installed the splash pans to improve ventilation.
  17. sblake01 replied to reddie73's post in a topic in Help Me !!
The 71 uses a different sending unit for the guage which is what's likely causing the problem.
  18. Thanks Bob. That is basically what I was saying. After he 'removed the master cylinder and cleaned that' (his words) I assumed that he bench bled it also. In either case the problem would be in the master cylinder either that it needs to be bled or it's not functioning correctly.

Oh yeah....you can buy virtually any sticker, plate, tag etc. the these cars ever had on them. Banzai Motorworks and New Datsun Parts.com come to mind but there are others.
  20. It also comes with a 4 cylinder cap and rotor.......
  21. Phew! I was hoping it wasn't Rob's car again. You know, the over priced red and black one in Tennessee that's been for sale off and on for at least 4 years that I know of.
  22. If the slave is new and working properly, the problem would have to be in the master. When you depressed the clutch without the line connected to the slave you should have gotten a strong spurt of fluid from that line.

I know what console it is. I was being just a bit facetious with the first sentence of my comment and somewhat obtuse with the rest........
  24. Did you get the parts from Elvan?
  25. Wouldn't those be the correct hubcaps for a 71 with a vin that high?
