Actually, the stock switch is a DPDT rocker switch (momentary on-off-momentary on). If you intend to use the original antenna, that's what you'll need. Rather than trying to find a switch that will work, and attempting to wire it so that it will work in your car, possibly frying something in the processs, why not use an original type switch like the one I linked to on eBay? By what you've posted so far in this thread, I really don't think you know what type of switch the original one is.

I'm pretty sure he meant 'add' a quart. The trans cooler is simply a coil of tubing in the bottom of the radiator. Nothing but transmission fluid flows through those lines and that cooler. In order for coolant to get in there, there would have to be a hole in the tubing. Were that the case you'd also be experiencing tranmission problems since you say you've had the problem for 'several weeks'.

Maybe you could find Tomohawk a 77-78 antenna and switch.

If it's leaking from the line you described, it would leak trans fluid not coolant. As far as coolant goes, the thermostat housing/water outlet on the left side of the block that could leak from either mounting surface.

Also, you might check the belt tensioner if it is shared by the ps pump and compressor.

I drive the Z every Wednesday to take my wife to lunch and maybe a couple more times a month. Occasionally, I'll take it to one of the Datsun gatherings. I drive the 810 daily and the truck only a few times a year.

I saw that car at the Solvang Roadster Show earlier this year. Wish I'd taken more pictures of it. It was just as nicely done throughout the rest of the car as under the hood.

Here's a scan of the shift mechanism in a type A. The forks are circled. But I agree with JimmyZ.

But spray the sockets with WD40 before you put the new bulbs in. OUT!

I'm an HVAC/MVAC tech. I've heard that line so many times...........Occaisionally, you do luck out but my take is that if it worked, the belt would be on it an it would be working.

Except for the ones for the 4 cyl. which has "185" stamped on the butterflies.

Moot point because the top of a 50 is visually different than a 40/44. His carbs aren't 50's.

Actually, it's the same part number through 78. I've got a spare one somewhere. I'll have to look through my stuff and see if I can find it.

I think you're right, Vic. Those did look like 44's to me but I hadn't seen a set of 50's for a while so I couldn't recall the visual differences.
