260z rims
But since those wheels have a front wheel drive type offset, that info is of no use to this thread.......

Transmision Problems
The Tremec 6 speed in my GTO uses Dexron III ATF. It was desinged for it. The 1970s Nissan 4/5 speeds were not. Moot point. I still believe what I said in my previous post.

OEM Surplus scrapping their inventory
That may be partially true but some of that stuff would have to be 'dead weight' anyway. Norm and his people have been selling for a while and most of the desireable stuff is pretty much gone. I mean, how much demand is there for say, 1987 Stanza wagon steering knuckles or 1988 mini van wiring harnesses?

Engine noise after oil change
That was mentioned many times on the first page. (Just sayin') Anyway, glad you found it.

Transmision Problems
Based on his two posts, the OP is has all of the underpinnings of an automated web script (spambot) so there's no real need to keep answering him.

Turbo swap
You tell me how what you posted helps when you give no details, or post any pictures. You're either full of crap or a spammer.

1976 T/C Rod, Broke, Polyurethane Bushings
When I bought my 78 back in 1997 I put urethane bushings on the transverse links as well as on the T/C rods. Drove it like that for the next 12 years or so until I sold it with no problems.

Turbo swap
Oh, I do but my older brother drives a Ford Expedition so something like this never comes up between us:classic:.

S30s aren't drag cars. Sure you can set anything up to be quick in the 1/4 but at what cost? How does your 260Z do against your brothers Cobra in the twisties? You might be able to build an engine capable of running 13s with a $1500 budget but what about the rest of the car. Clutch, trans, etc.? In other words, the components that will now have to withstand the 250-300 hp you'll likely need to accomplish this. If your brothers Cobra outruns you in the 1/4 mile, it should. Let it be. Different kinds of cars and that's the wrong reason for wanting to make your faster. If you build your 260z to the point where is will outrun his Cobra in the 1/4 you maybe looking at more headaches than enjoyment. That and the fact that no matter what you do to your car there will always be cars that are faster. I've run a 12.838 with my slightly moddded/tuned 2005 GTO. My neighbor's 72 Camaro runs mid 11s. All that being said, it's your car. This is merely my opinion.

Speedometer Question
Actually, I had posted a response to this but changed it when I realized that the poster is a spammer originating from India.

Engine noise after oil change
I didn't acknowlege the comment about it 'having to have a spray bar' since that has been discussed so many times over the years........

download movies?
It wouldn't be the Nissan 'morning light' ad, would it? Someone sent that to me the other day. Cool ad!

Engine noise after oil change
If you have a mechanic's stethoscope, that would help you to pinpoint where the noise is coming from.
-
Engine noise after oil change
Not necessarily. Clearances increase as the engine warms.
-
Engine noise after oil change
Don't rule out the timing chain tensioner as being the culprit. Other than the fact that you are saying it's comming from the top of the engine, that's what the rest of the description sounds like to me.

how much does a early jdm 5 speed worth?
though I was more subtle with my weak attempt at levity. (post #5) And, to the op, my screename is sblake01 not sblack01 but what can one expect?

Floorpan plugs - Yes or No ?
He's talking about whether or not he needs the holes in the floorpan not the plugs that go in them.

how much does a early jdm 5 speed worth?
If the trans came from a car with a L20a, that car wouldn't be a 240Z. Think about it.......Post some pictures of the trans or else it's all speculation.

how much does a early jdm 5 speed worth?
What does that work out to in dollars?

polarity on new connections?
These quoutes make no sense: If this one is true:

Engine noise after oil change
Yep, I used 20W50 in my Datsuns here in SoCal. I really don't think oil weight would cause the engine noise problem anyway. It may just have shown up coincidentally after the oil change.

polarity on new connections?
I doesn't matter about the wires. The can be connected either way. We've discussed that here before, you just didn't go back far enough. Here's one of my old posts on the subject from about 3 1/2 years or so ago. Click on the 'Injector Wires' tab in the upper right hand corner above the post if you want to see the whole thread. http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showpost.php?p=187320&postcount=8

The Car I Always Wanted
The 'super sport' sticker aren't stock. I have a copy of the 1981 'Turbo suppliment'. The only trans shown in it is an automatic. Tranny swaps are done all the time. If the right parts were used, you wouldn't be able to tell. Here's a scan from that suppliment. Note that the automatic trans is the only trans shown (under refill capacities). It's a scan of a scan so I'm sorry the scans aren't better.

N/A into a TURBO
Depends which way you want to go with it. The systems are different, as I and Jim said.
-
N/A into a TURBO
That and if you were going to use stock electronics, you'd have to deal with the fact that the L28ET uses a different system (E.C.C.S) than does your 78 (E.F.I.). Different wiring harnesses, components, ECUs, etc.
