  1. Or you could download the 76 FSM directly here.
  2. This is in referrence to the subject car of this thread as I haven't looked at the ones that zed2 linked. I don't think that I'd call it the "nicest 280 I've seen for sale in over a decade" especially after looking at the underneath pictures. I mean, it's nice but I've seen nicer (includiing the one I sold a couple of years ago...JMO). Might just be that there are nicer examples on the west coast than on the east coast. Jared's (DatsunZsRule) recently sold car is nicer than that one. Again, JMO.
  3. I totally concur. I'll go one farther though this one might be unpopular. The right buyer is the one who will pay your asking price (or higher). I'm really not that concerned with what the new owner does with the car (or truck). Though I'd like to see them go to a 'good home', when all is said and done, money talks.

Moot point since a bird that small couldn't possibly carry a coconut......(those unfaliliar will think we've both lost our minds!)

Regardless of which, should one's trust really be measured by the distance one can throw a feather?
  7. Er, Richard, you might want to take a look at the date this thread was started, 06-06-2005. Almost 6½ years ago. The original poster hasn't been here in almost 2 years. $15K might not go as far as it would have at either of those points........
  8. I saw that on your page. My comment was directed to the OP.
  9. Not sure I'd want that on an street car, however.
  10. Imagine how trial and error/hit and miss/time consuming/tedious that would be to do with an anlog circuit board.......
  11. I think (?) he was being facetious......

In my 61+ years on this earth, I've yet to come across that scenario. I mean, seriously, how many bags of unidentifiable cash have you found in your lifetime?

Nice! I don't drive my C4 much (maybe I would if it was a C6...)

Welcome. With the name 'c6fan' are you into Vettes by any chance? I have an 84 C4 that I kind of 'lucked into' the explaination of which would be a long, off topic story. Anyway, nice Z. I think I've seen that car before. I used to go to quite a few shows in that area.
  15. It's back: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1971-DATSUN-240-Z-MANUAL-TRANSMISSION-GREAT-CONDITION-/150695813269?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item23162ba095

Either that or it could be a setup like we saw on the TV news. i.e. the bag is being watched by a news crew in a nearby mini van ready to pounce on you and get you on video as soon as you pick the bag up.
  17. 904 Kilimanjaro White w/blue interior. Only available in 70 and 71 IIRC.

Remember, he didn't leave the money at Walmart; only his phone number and told them that he'd found money without disclosing the description/amount if I'm reading it proprely. That would make it difficult for anyone but it's rightful owner to claim it. If that person didn't call after a reasonable amount of time he'd have likely kept the money. What other choice would he have had?

Amazing thing is, my wife and I were just discussing this today because of a segment we watched on the TV news today. I would attempt to contact the owner. If I was unable to do that I'd turn it in at the local police department. At the point I'm at in my life, I don't need anyone elses money. I know how hard it was to get where I am.
  20. I've had absolutely no trouble with my Crafstman boxes. I've moved at least 5 times since then and transported each tine and the casters, paint, slides, etc. are still fine to this day. We have, however, really gotten away from jccampbe2001's topic so I'm done......
  21. I'd say that most of the Craftstman tools I own as well as the boxes/cabinets/chests etc. were purchased in the 70s and 80s. I can only recall having to replace one of the ratchets. I'm not knocking their quality; they're just not 'head and shoulders' above the competition.
  22. Oh, me too. I'd say that more than 50% of my tools are Craftsman. It's just that Craftsman isn't the 'high and mighty' brand it once was.
  23. There was guy a few years back that sold (or claims to have sold) one of these for some ludicrous amount. His was one of the Red/Black ones. The threads were, at least, entertaining, if nothing else and both ended up being locked: http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?25816-1980-datsun-280zx10-black-red-7-602-original-miles-1-owner http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?27274-1980-280zx10-Black-Red-8-732-Miles-1-owner
  24. Nor do the Middle Easterners. My 810 coupe is over there somewhere. I sold it for nearly twice what I originally was asking!
  25. Craftsman were once considered to be in the upper eschelon as far as tools go. Nowdays, however, many of theri tools and accessories are manufactured overseas, as is the case with most tool manufacturers. Craftsman/Sears was actually sued a few years ago. They were accused of false advertising and consumer fraud for questionable use of the term "Made in USA". Most tools, even the so called 'cheap' tools like Harbor sells are warrantied in the same way.
