  1. Merely for curiousity's sake, what would be the cost of a complete 'properly' set up MS system with crank trigger ignition, coil packs, the appropriate injectors, etc.?
  2. jthill3, check your pm box.
  3. Reading the O.P.'s posts makes my head hurt.......

Does that also mean the the second one is an early 260Z w/240Z bumpers?

Not that one. Look at the one in the movie.

Pixar even has a 'Nurse GTO':
  7. On a vagely related note, Fiats are actually coming back this year. At least, the 500 and 500C (cabrio). They are rather low cost, entry level type cars, however. http://www.fiatusa.com/en/
  8. I put that trans (81-83) in both my Z and my 810. I loved the gearing with the stock 3.54 in my Z and with the 3.7 in my 810. Though the 810 was an L24E, with the 3.7, it pulled almost as hard as the Z w/3.54. On, and mayitin, you really need to get some newer books.

kjohnson2444 posted this pic in another thread showing the characters paying homage to Paul Newman, who played the voice of Doc Hudson in the first Cars movie. They were at the Doc Hudson museum.
  10. So does that mean that he won't have to be 'burdened' by us until he needs to put out feelers for another eBay sale?

The gong appeared to be patterned after a 240Z hubcap also.

His profile says '1970 240Z' so I'd assume that it's not a roadster.
  13. 7datsun5, I would think you be 'thicker skinned' than that if you're a member of hybrid also. If not then you won't be happy here. Kind of what happens when you bring a modified(?) Z to what is basically a classic site. IMO, cutting and welding a hood section on to the roof is ricey. Period. That's my opinion. And I never sit on the roof or fenders of my Z or any other vehicle for that matter. Does that mean I'm an arse also?

According to his profile, he hasn't visited this site since August 19, 2008.

A G nose is also for a S30. Fitting one on an S130 would also be more work and expense than is practical.
  16. He hasn't been back since that post. I was going to ask 'why' on the synthetic oil.
  17. So called 'Black Pearl' wheels which are actually 260Z-280Z optional factory alloys (in signature pic):
  18. Maybe not the same thing but have you seen Joseph's (webdawg1) restoration spreadsheets? They are all here on a site hosed by Allen (texasz). http://www.pape.ws/allan_and_rosanne/Z-Car_Stuff/Restoration%20Spreadsheets/
  19. No one is forcing you. As we have the choice, so do you......

There's also this thread on Hybrid Z: http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php/topic/32764-naps-l28-intake-manifold-with-twin-butterfly-tb/ The author of the post is NZeder who is also a member here but I haven't seen him on this site for at least a year.

I guess if you can navigate through the hostility over there you might actually find more info......

Weren't there some later (like mid to late 80s) non USA vehicles that used the L series 6 cylinder? I've been around Nissan/Datsuns my entire life and never saw this on any USA Datsun/Nissan. I doesn't look 'modern' pre se but it look more modern that anything that would have been on a mid or late 70s Datsun/Nissan.

As I recall, the version of the NAPS used during that era was used on the Z series four cylinder engines. I don't think there would be any gain or even if it could be adapted to the L28. It was basically an emissions system. Nissan Anti Pollution System.
  24. Not trying to argue; just an observation. You do the same!!
  25. Your quote: Gary didn't say that......
