Actually, it's the same part number through 78. I've got a spare one somewhere. I'll have to look through my stuff and see if I can find it.
  2. I think you're right, Vic. Those did look like 44's to me but I hadn't seen a set of 50's for a while so I couldn't recall the visual differences.
  3. Not bad at all! And it has a/c albeit with a York compressor. But no belt. I wonder if it works? Enkei's aren't so bad, though they wouldn't be my first choice either, at least they're period correct.

That's basically what I said on page 1. (Well exactly what I said-apples and oranges) But you really cant compare them. Different cars; different eras.

I use an electrical contact cleaner and lube rather than WD40. The use of WD40 on electrical stuff is just one of those things that everyone has heard over the years and accepts. Light a cigarette lighter and blow WD40 through the flame. Can you say 'torch'! I don't want that stuff in my distributor. That's just my opinion and prefference. Now that we're totally off topic on this 2.5 year old thread.:classic:

And, besides, WD40 conducts electricity and is flamable.

Sounds like the electrical part that attaches to the back of the ignition housing either need to be cleaned (I've never done that) or replaced.
  8. What they sell is a louver that goes over the side window and that's not what he's looking for. I would suggest the junkyard but maybe one of the 'ZX' guys here, like Zbane, would have an idea where to find them.
  9. And I also own a L320 as well as an 810. The swap meet is usually Dastuns in general. Life is not all Z's you know.

No space saver in the early cars or alloy wheels from the factory at least here in the US. The lug nuts are on the list in my 78. By then it was entirely in English.

As far as the stock mirror goes, (I have a 78-same mirror), I researched that a while back and concluded that there is no such thing as a matching RH version.

Last time I checked, that seemed to be general intent of the auto industry. There's nothing wrong with the 350Z. The philosophy has changed quite a bit since Mr. K brought the S30 to us. It's of a different era than what we generally discuss here. Apples and oranges.
  13. Okay, once again, I stand corrected. I've never had much to do with 2+2's or their parts. But I do recall seeing a 2 seater with those holes in the door panel and I assumed that they were from a 2+2. Could they have been from a JDM or other non US version or just another PO mod gone bad?

    Record: broken!
  15. Actually, the doors on an 2 seater and a 2+2 are the same size. That's not where the extra length is in the car. But, still, I stand corrected because I thought you were talking about cutouts visible from the outside of the door panel. Like the ones that 2+2's have for the door lock 'remote control'. I've actually seen non 2+2 cars with these door panels which, of course, would leave an open hole in that area.
  16. These are for 70-73. If you have cutouts on your 78, you've got 2+2 door panels.

They must have had that idea in mind when the built these also.
  18. I'm running 225/60 14s on stock susp. with no problems. Mine is a 78 and I don't know if the clearance is different than a 240Z.

Only the car on the left is for sale according to the ad.
  20. How much is a little? Could be a bad check valve but if it holds enough pressure to start up right away each time, assuming that your cold start valve/thermotime switch are okay, I wouldn't worry about it.
  21. What's your fuel pressure when you check it under the hood at the fuel filter outlet? You should be looking for ~36.3psi there.

I talked to Norm at Zeddsaver a while back and from what I recall, he wouldn't have those. Just the paint code, radiator, coolant, snorkel tube, and carb adjustment decals IIRC. What's cool is that his paint code decals come with the number already on them.

Or a crack somewhere that's letting water get into a clylinder, exhaust port, or egr port (if you have one) etc.
  24. Bondo is a brand name for body filler over here. I think Regan's chimp's name was Bonzo.

Yesterday, I was 'off the scale' and now I'm an 'unknown quantity at this point'?
