Except for A/C. There was 'dealer installed' A/C such as the A.R.A. systems the would have been added later to a non A/C equipped car, and factory option A/C that would have been installed during assembly in Japan.

D4160-00003 is in the microfiche. Dealer installed options wouldn't be listed there.
  3. I used to run motorcycle fork oil in mine 'back in the day' worked fine. It was also 20wt.
  4. That's right, Kent Moore also made A/C charging stations. I may have even used one of those back when I did HVAC/MVAC.

It was revived by a 'bot...he's been reported and removed.
  6. Can't tell from the pics if it's a 4 or 5 spd. but it's not a roadster trans. Starter is on the wrong side.

And how would it be useful on a on a stock efi S30 without other modifications?
  8. You asked about one of the other Kent Moore analyzers in another thread a while back IIRC. I've been around the Datsun hobby since the 70s, even worked at a dealership for a while and I've never seen anyone that had or used on of the units, any model. Why are they popping up now some 30 years later? Are they 'new' or used? I can't think of anything that I rather hook up to my vehicle than an electronic machine that's been sitting somewhere for 30 years (sarcasm intended!). Especially when it is uncertain which vehicle(s) it's actually 'compatible' with. The 280Z/ZX efi isn't all that complicated to need a special machine to work on it. Use a DVOM.....
  9. Sometimes you don't really have a choice when you have and out-of-production car that IS American-made, like my El Camino.

There's a picture of one on page 7 in the illustration in the owners manual albeit not a very clear one.....

Had them in my Z and also in my 810. The look like these:

They were made out of a semi clear plastic. The weren't H shaped. They just sort of clipped over the belt and you could move them to any position.

I got pulled over for speeding the last time I drove mine before I sold it in June 2009. It was the only time I got pulled over in the 12 years I owned it.

^^^I doubt that an inventory from a US dealership would include any parts specific to a Fairlady ZL.......

I owned a 79 for about 6 months back in the late 90s. Got it fairly cheap, fixed it up and sold it. It was an automatic trans but was still somewhat fun to drive. As I recall it's gas mileage was pretty bad for an engine of that size.

Didn't you see this post. It's even a year old....... Even the one that black gold man linked to shows no activity from tony5050 in about 5 months.

It won't bolt up as the bell housing is different from that of an S30. That swap, however, has been done but it requires a lot of work (and expense).
  19. If there ever such an individual existed, I've never come across him.......
  20. No more heretical than the fact that the so called 'new era' GTO was built in Australia.
  21. If your car was originally a California car, a bad altitude switch could cause what you're experiencing.
  22. C'mon Wade, It's an update. They are still recovering over there as James stated. I recently read where poor bulding design was the cause of the majority of deaths in a building collapse that happened during that 'quake.

I never understood why who owns or owned a car could make it worth more though that has always seemed to be the case. Unless it was especially built for the individual, It's the same car thay you or I could have bought. A friend of mine once owned one of Hubert Platt's Mustangs. By the time he got it, it was pretty much just a clapped out race car. He still paid more for it than one would have paid for any other 'garden variety' Mustang simply of because of it's notable previous owner. For those that don't know, Hubert Platt, who was known as the 'Georgia Shaker', was a successful NHRA drag racer in the 60s and 70s.
  24. We're used to it. We've been here for 7+ years and lived in the general area no more than 30 miles away for many years.
