  1. Well, back to the original topic. I believe the owner told Brian that the car would go close to the BIN price but with about a day and a half to go there are still no bids. IMO the price is a little steep for a project car even if it is a Skyline.

Eric, I've sent you a PM.

I just did some searching in my own computer and discovered that both my DVD drive and my DVD burner have the capability to read all regions of DVDs. So I could, at least, copy it but I couldn't find anything in my burn program (Nero) that would allow me to convert it. Then I noticed that I already have the DVD shrink program on my computer, thanks to my little brother, but I've only used it to copy other DVDs (shhhhhhh!). So I could also do the conversion for you. Gee, that was pretty long winded, wasn't it?
  4. I say appreciate them all for what they are. I personally don't really care for anything beyond the S30 as far as the Z goes, however. It's all just opinion anyway but there will never be another S30 anymore than the new Mustang is anything more than a reminissance of the old one. The Geortz thing doesn't even belong in this discussion. That's also just opinion based on a lot of muddy facts and thinned down by passing of time.

I removed the radiator. It's just easier that way. Plus I replaced belts and hoses also. The job only took about four hours.

  7. They will do whatever you pay them to do.
  8. Don't know much about the later throttle valve switches but when I tried one from the V6, it didn't work properly on my 810 which has the same setup as my Z. By then I think they were referred to as 'throttle position sensor' and perhaps the circuitry in them had changed.
  9. Also check the throttle valve switch. Make sure the idle contacts are closed when the throttle is closed.

A ZX dizzy is designed to be run without a ballast resistor.
  11. The 2+2/Turbo flywheel is not larger in diameter than the coupe flywheel. They are the same weight and diameter. You'll also need the 2+2/Turbo clutch disc and pressure plate to make the change over. It's the clutch surface that is larger.

Hey Steve, glad to see another fellow 810 coupe owner over here. There aren't many of us.

In other words, a 24F rather than a 24. They're not hard to find if you don't mind an Autozone battery and I believe Interstate still has them also. (But he already bought a battery)

I would say if the test light shows that the circuit is good then even if you have continuity in the bulb, the bulb is probably bad. All the test shows is contunuity, but it doesn't show the strength of it.

Another example would be a 77-78 810 (L24E engine) is rated at 154 hp and my 79 810 (same engine) is rated at 118.

I think I answered that in my last sentence of my last post. 162(gross) vs. 139(net) in other words, prior to 1979 they were rated at the flywheel after that they were rated at the rear wheels.

Maybe you mean 162? Here's a 260Z plate. And to answer BuDavid, Datsun didn't use net hp ratings until the 1979 model year.

I took me a while to find it but here is a way to check the dropping resistor. 1-4 are on the 6 pin connector and 5-6 are on the 4 pin connector.
  22. I think we've talked enough about this guy. Two posts in over a year and he's pissed because no one jumped in to help him and has basically told us to 'f.o.a.d.' Good riddance!

Depends on how you want to drive your car. The four speed pulls harder through the gears. The five speed cruises better.
  24. So I guess you could say that Ken's wife has no patience with patients.:classic: Enough picking on Dave's spelling. Dezeezed, I think Will's closing paragraph says it all. Sarcasm, anger, and attitude. If any of that came through in your original post, small wonder no one answered.

And if anyone needs a set of those lug nuts, I have a set bagged up and ready to go that I was going to send to Proxlamus but he found another set.
