  1. No it isn't. It's a transmission that not only supplies inverse reactive current for use in unilateral phase detractors, but is also capable of automatically synchronizing cardinal grammeters. I took notes.

Removing the driveshaft is easy. I have a set of cheap, thin offset wrenches that I've used to do that job many, many times over the years. He's pulling his engine so what you describe would work for him this time but for times when he's not, it still would be helpful to know how the remove the driveshaft.

I'll stand by the reasoning I used to arrive at that conclusion. You're new, you revived a dead thread, and many 'bots, not just on this site, use Partstrain as their SEO link.
  4. And I thought bonzelite bought Chris's car it but he bought his from Brian.

I used to put my jackstands where the notches for the jack are located.
  7. Oh well. She's the only person I've ever had and kind of contact with that actually owned one.....

Either way, on a Z, I prefer bumpers.
  10. Kind of reminds me of Chevy Chase in Fletch.......

Check the two plugs that are just in front of the console on the passenger side of the trans tunnel. I forget which of the two that the gauge lights go through but it wouldn't hurt to check and clean both plugs.

I remember those. Like you say, they're not 'bumpers'. They're pads for the 'Quickjack'. The only pic I could find of them in use is of the front.
  13. Moot point, at least for the OP. He hasn't been here since the day he posted that.

Yeah, but that's not what we're talking about here......

No comparison! So much so that is doesn't even belong in this discussion. Ethanol is basically made from sugar crops, like sugar cane or corn while methanol is made from fossil fuel. Ethanol can make you sick, methanol can kill you. Ethanol in not nearly as volitale or incompatible with as many things as methanol. You can't store methanol in contaiers normally used to store fuel, unless stated on the container. I could go on but basically there's no comparison between the two. Look it up, it's basic science......P.S.: I concur with the take that the use of 10% ethanol is not the cause of the OP's problem.

  17. How would that help?? '153' isn't on that chart either......
  18. I would imagine that autocrossing a 280ZX would probably be a similar experience to when I autocrossed my 810........
  19. No, actually I'm thinking that the poster is a 'bot/troll. Just thought I'd throw in the Chevy Chase quote..
  20. You're gonna' need some pliers, and a set of 30 weight ball bearings (it's all ball bearing nowadays) And you're gonna' need about 10 quarts of antifreeze, preferably Prestone. No, make that Quaker State.:stupid::stupid:
  21. Hey Chris! I hadn't seen your car around for a while. Could be that it's me not getting to as many of the show as I used to. I remember talking to you a few years back at one of the shows about California emissions and EFI systems. etc. In Temecula, I think.
  22. Tyrone, I'm not even sure that Chris owns that car anymore.

So I'm right up the hill from you. I've looked at a few Z's but I haven't found one yet. I almost bought a 2000 Roadster last Summer but the lack of papework scared me.
