  1. Make sure you sell it at night.....................
  2. 77 and 78 are interchangable as both are designed for the raised deck, space saver spare set up that only existed those two years.

John's actually been here longer than I have. He just doesn't post a lot. Are you talking about Tony D.? One of my favorites because he tells it like it is. He hasn't been here for a while, has he?
  4. I remember, we were in my 810. Hey, that reminds me of Airplane! You know, "Well, we had a choice, steak or fish." "Yes, yes, I remember, I had lasagna."
  5. I think they were on the white car when I saw them at Solvang. The car sounded real smooth to me. My wife even commented on how nice it sounded and she really isn't that into cars.

    Your personal line of credit?
  7. Yeah, here it is...or here they are:
  8. Was it Steve Epperly that built a working triple SU setup? I remember seeing it on a 240Z at one of the Solvang Roadster shows maybe a couple of years ago.

I guess times change. There was a time a few years back when he and his business were great to deal with.

That's what the MSA event was up until a few years ago.

Autoguide.com acquired ZCar.com. Don't know much else about it as I've not spent much time there of late. Here's a link to the thread that talks about it: http://www.zcar.com/car_talk_forum/zcar.com_acquired_autoguide.com_896357.0.html

A 280Z is a 'first gen' so you must have meant a 280ZX but as the others said, it's a G-nose front end.
  13. Not really but he does live less than 10 miles from me.
  14. :devious:I know where he lives:devious:

I even tried loctite on the threads of the clamp screws. They still loosened.......

When I had that type of hose on my 78, the clamps would always loosen over time since the outer sleeve prevents you from clamping down on the rubber hose itself. I tried trimming away the sleeve at the last 1/2" or so of the hose so I could clamp directly on the rubber but the resulting fraying of the sleeve bothered me. I finally put regular rubber EFI hose back on it and never looked back. Sure the stainless looked better but non leaking hoses were more important to me. Especially at EFI type fuel pressures. I looked in to doing AN fittings but I recall the price being higher than I was willing to spend.
  17. Ah, the irrepressible Mr. Allen: I sincerely hope that's a typo.....

In the immortal words of Inspector Clouseau, "that is what I have been saying!":)

But how long will that condition exist once the fuel is moving through the system at 36+ psi.? A second, maybe even less? Again, I think there a lot of overthinking going on in this thread. If everything in the system is in proper working order, none of this really matters.
  20. The aren't wires per se. They are fusible links. The front box should have an 80 amp link closest to the fender and the other three are 50 amp as in this picture from the Alantic Z site.
  21. Anything is possible. All you'd have to do is find the wire that is the 12 volt source for the voltmeter and move it to the a switched 12 volt source. But why would you want to do that?
  22. Yep. That's what saw prior to turning the key whenver I jumped into my 78 for the 12 years I owned it.
  23. Was it right hand drive? If so it was likely a non USA Fairlady S30 and technically not a 240Z
  24. That is correct
  25. IIRC, only the 76-78 280Zs had a voltmeter so the voltmeter in you 73 has to be aftermarket. The 280Z the voltmeter, thought it's unswitched like the clock, is on a different circuit, fifth fuse down, right side, while the clock is on the third fuse down, right side. But yes, the voltmeter would be 'always on'.
