  2. Come on Jon! He/it is a spammer or at very least some type of PRM.......(i.e. cheesy link in signature that has no relevance to this site)
  3. To use one without a hands free device is illegal in California. I'm sure each state has it's own laws. I have a bluetooth/GPS enabled audio system in my daily driver that I can talk on hands free with the mere press of a button that receives and trasmits though the stereo's speakers.

In my experience (as an HVAC/MVAC tech) the condenser doesn't affect engine cooling but if you don't have AC, you don't need it.
  5. You need to do a little research on that before you state it as one of those TomoHawk 'facts'.
  6. Nor in California.
  7. Took you almost three years.......cell phones have become much better since then also.
  8. I'm sure you mean Mort Sahl rather than Sal. He, Murray Roman, and Lenny Bruce were among my favorite comedians back in the day. They were really more like humorists or liberal social critics/satirists than comedians. Lenny died in the sixties (drugs), Murray Roman died in the seventies (car crash) but Mort Sahl is still with us, last I heard.
  9. Didn't one of the rappers recently crash a New Lamborghini? I think it was Soulja Boy.
  10. michaelross=SPAMBOT!! As far as "the-z-connexion" and "reddat" are concerned, they both fall into the catagory that Walter Moore mentioned earlier. That is, they both will sell you parts that are usually available for less money elsewhere. As long as you are happy........
  11. It's on page EF-34 in the 1978 FSM. I don't have a link to just that page and the xenon S30 reference site seems to be down rignt now.
  12. Not sure I understand that as there wouln't really be a 'max' setting. Just a right and wrong setting. That could be the main problem as that would affect the fuel mixture. There is a certain procedure to setting the TPS. You want the idle contacts to be closed at idle and the wide open contacts to be closed a wide open. Neither set of contacts is open in between. Its covered on page EF-34 in the 78 FSM.

But it's not in your garage........

You can find Nissan Fast here: Scroll down http://www.xenons30.com/reference.html

I don't recall either of mine (the 78 280Z or the 79 810) having one either.

Does the washer show in this attachment?
  17. sblake01 replied to FastWoman's post in a topic in Engine & Drivetrain
Part #40 appears to be the EGR vavle itself. 14710-N7600 for build date 8/77 up. I thought you were just looking for the orifice washer. Nissan Fast is a program that's sort of a part number database. We've discussed it here a few times.

Looking in Nissan Fast, I come up with 16335-H8200 which is described as 'Orifice #100'. I'm not sure if that's what you're looking for but that's the only thing on the 'Manifold, EGR from 8-76' list that looks like it could be it.
  19. I did take the time to find out that his is a 77 which is why I used that in my posts. I really don't want to argue with you as I don't have anything at stake here...I know what I know and you know what you know. I'm just trying to help him solve his problem also. He say's he has other brake problems. If putting fluid in solves his problem, I'll be the first one to give you kudos. Otherwise, I'll say nothing else here.
  20. I know what he's talking about. It was your statement that made it unclear. I think you need to read the FSM again. Read the differences between the brake warning systems in the 77 and earlier vs the 78 and later. 77 and earlier had the brake indicator switch located beneath the MC. If the fluid level was low enough to not reach that switch, you'd have lost your brakes long before. It has nothing to do with monitoring the fluid level. That was the purpose for changing the system for the 78 and later models. On the 78 and later models, a simple three way connector replaced the switch below the MC and the level monitoring caps were added. I was just trying to make sure that we're all talking about the same thing.
  21. I'm fairly certain that a 77 wouldn't have the master cylinder caps with the fluid sensors. According to the FSM, that didn't start until the 78 model year. That light can also indicate a problem with brake line pressure according to page BR-6 of the 1977 FSM.

They just press into the holes in the louver. If you look at the attachment in post #6 you can see two of them at the top of each of the five lower slats about 10" or so on either side of the center. I don't know where you'd get replacements...maybe a hardware store?
  23. sblake01 replied to JoelZ's post in a topic in Engine & Drivetrain
Sounds like you've found the problem.
  24. Ignitor #1761. I don't think you need anything else.
  25. What the 'GM hack' has going for it is that is uses a very easy to find, relatively inexpensive module.
