  2. thanks to you all!! as far as emblems, the only ones are on the hood, and maybe the fenders. if you dont know what it is, then bad on you
  3. not much going on. waiting for new valve springs from schnieder. the factory ones bind up with the cam i have so they will be up for sale soon. got some bodywork and primer done today. guide-coat and another coat of primer tomorrow, and i should be ready for color. hope to get the fenders in to the sandblaster next week
  4. if you ground that yellow wire, with the ignition on, your temperature gauge should jump up to "full".
  5. went and looked at this one this morning http://roseburg.craigslist.org/cto/5940638180.html you could probably talk them down. not alot of rust that i could see, but it is sitting on 4 flats and the ground was wet ice- snow mix, so i didnt get down and look too hard. drivers door opens, but nothing else would. they said that it only had 22k miles on it "because those speedometers dont roll over" hahaha. has a rear window louver and the only body damage i could see is the left fender has a decent sized dent. standing water in the floorpans "tells you they arent rusted" hahaha usual cracked dash, interior needs replacing, but the seats actually look pretty good. would need to be towed on a flatbed or trailor
  6. more body work and primer on the hatch, cowl, passenger door, inspection covers and the gas filler door. getting ready for paint.
  7. i use firefox with the ad-blocker. i get nothing in the way of ads or pop-ups. not even the videos on news web sites will auto-play anymore
  8. seriously?? i tossed mine in the scrap bin at work
  9. when did the tanks change from plastic to metal? my jan-72 tank was metal.
  10. be prepared for the small bolt heads to snap off. and, iirc, they are quite long and will probably be rusted.
  11. the oval shaped wheels are kind of bitchin' too.
  12. i will hesitate to use the word "scammer" yes. i bought a hatch from him. when i handed over the $200, he said if i didnt like it, bring it back and get another. i had it sand-blasted, found some issues and gave him a call. he basically said too bad. it actually worked out for the better. i found 2 other guys a lot closer, and they are straight-up. 1 of them has become a good friend.
  13. on the delete plates, if you havent done the other side or the fronts, you might try welding on the inside of the body. much less grinding even if the welds are ugly, because they wont show.
  14. if the seller is a guy by the name of wayne, in eugene, buyer beware
  15. seems i read somewhere that by-passing the heater core is not a good thing

  17. personally i would check it higher, just to be sure it wont fail at 13-14 psi
  18. i dont think 1/64th or 1/32nd of an inch is gonna make a squat of difference as far as belts
