Outer Control Arm Poly Bushing Too Wide?
i just replaced mine with the same kit, and had the same problem. it took some work, but i was able to force everything together without and modification. i ended up getting one side started, and then, using a putty knife as a lever, force it together with a BFH. if you need to take some off, do as little as possible

well its been a while since ive updated this, so here goes all new front end parts, including ball joints, struts, upper bearing, tie rod ends, springs, polyurethane bushings and compression rod parts. everything was sandblasted and painted with black epoxy new toyota calipers and aluminum splash shields. the originals were gone, so i made some up at work. the aluminum is a little too thick, so the hubs rub just a tiny bit but that should go away as the hub wears the aluminum. new compression rod parts and cover

toyota front calipers
after reading up and indecision, i went ahead and bought some toyota calipers. the question i have now is this: for those who have done this, did you use the datsun factory caliper mounting bolts. they appear to be too short by about the thickness of the lock washer. if you replaced the bolts, what did you use? i stopped at the local toyota dealer, and they wanted $26 per bolt. who knows if they were even the right ones. thanks all sb

chiltons is a last resort for me. i have an old dodge power wagon. the chilton manual showed the distributor rotation one way when it was actually the other. it cost me quite a bit of time and money to learn that lesson.
