  1. ok guys, its Saturday night. One of my favorite things to do is have a couple cold PBR's and record some tunes. (very relaxing) Here are a couple pics of my machines. feel free to post some pics of your stuff and links to your favorite tunes one of my favorite bands.
  2. better oil the bearings on your electric meter. that heater has to suck up the power
  3. still has 1 intact original oem headlight!! i would think some of the hard parts (drivetrain, diff, etc) might still be good. still too much $$
  4. you really dont want to lube some things like speedo parts. oil will attract dust and dirt and will eventually gum up. dry graphite powder would be a better choice, if it is really needed
  5. i has this problem on my car. i ended up increasing the bends on the rod, which made it just a bit shorter, lengthening the throw of the lock cylinder arm. you can also use a passenger door cylinder on a drivers door. the passenger side sees less use = less wear. you do have to swap the rod connectors, though
  6. iirc, i bought a new/rebuilt starter for el-cheapo https://www.autozone.com/batteries-starting-and-charging/starter?filterByKeyWord=240z+starter&fromString=search&isIgnoreVehicle=false&model=true&newYmme=true
  7. i dont think that ever goes away entirely. you just finally learn whats worth chasing
  8. after that year, it will be "patina" it only adds to the value
  9. i have read that leaving the inside of the intake rough helps keep the fuel mixture mixed a little better. adds a little turbulence.
  10. i have this one. it works well. downside, no instructions at all, and, you dont know what parts they are when you need replacements. and, 14" wheels do fit, but there is very little extra room. IIRC i had to remove the wheel weights. i also have the toyota front calipers, but not these wheels now
  11. great thing about being older is kids are grown and out with jobs more $$ more time more stability. ive seen it before dozens of time. younger guys just have to have this cool XXXX. a year later its up for sale (in pieces) because of XXXX (moving, divorce, new baby, no time, etc......) if you can buy it and have a place to store it for YEARS, then buy it, and take your time doing what you want to it. my 2 cents
  12. i like that fans well enough, no real dis-likes. when they kick in, they move a lot of air, cooling the engine down fast. basically, they only come on in stop & go traffic or at idle. i did upgrade my alternator to a 90 amp so i have plenty of power, even at idle.
  13. i have the champion radiator and electric fans. i think that alternator output is going to be your biggest concern. when my fans kick on, engine rpms drop 50-75. there is definitely a load on the alternator.
  14. i think that is a good idea. brass solders fairly easy
