I just made a really easy to understand guide on LEDs and how to know which resistors to get, I am going to actually do this to my gauge and have pictures and details on the best way to install the lights in your gauges but I made this to help people to easily understand what to do with wiring. I'm off to get some bright LEDs and a variable resistor or 2 to actually wire this up and take pictures. But until then here is what i have: Really Really Basic Car LED Guide

you can dim the lights, you just have to add in a variable resistor

using a variable resistor would be easy to do, you would just have to remove the dimmer switch already on the Z and put a variable resistor where the power to the lights go, but you would still have to add resistors to each LED for best performance. The positive lead of the led (the long one) is connected to power and the negative (short one) to ground, i'm going out of town this weekend but look for a basic guide sometime around wednesday or thursday of next week, unless someone beats me to the chase. and for resistor values, its all based on the amperage of the led

With led's be wary or wiring, each LED needs to have its own resistor for best results, and parallel wiring is optimal. 12v is going to be your power supply and V(volts)=I(amps, indicated on teh LED package)R(resistance- your resistor), So for each resistor you will use that equation, but dont burn out the led. Ground can be shared in parallel but positive cant, i'm going to do this to one of my gauges i have lying around in the next few days since school is out today (i took my physics final today (hence the forulas)), but anywho im going to do this to my gauge cause im tired or the dull light and i'll make a guide this is a parallel circuit with resistors in a circle (just to give you an idea). give me a week or so and i'll have a guide with pics

have to find the wires for yourself, its pretty easy though, just get a circuit tester and look for: steady (car off) that goes to memory, a 12v (car on) thats to the main power, speakers, antenna should be easy, power antenna i dont know though, but its pretty straightforward

got some screenshots from the Z parts of the trailer

I saw this movie several times and it weel-deserved the oscar. Moore does a great job critiquing americans and their love for guns. He goes from the youngest school shooting (in the US) at age 6 to what happened at columbine, to the oklahoma city bombing, to US kills during wars... He doesn't just talk about guns, he analysizes how the US culture is one of guns and how much of it is driven by the fear of other people. It goes on and on. Just watch the movie and you'll understand, also he made "Roger and Me" and "The Big One" 2 other great movies

Just went and saw a flick and in the previews of "Bruce Almighty" Jim Carry (sp?) is driving a silver 70's Z. I couldn't tell the year because it was a quick look, But the question is: What movies have you seen Z cars in?
  9. My car didn't have the same problem but checking the Air Flow meter might not be a bad idea.

My drivers door wont lock with the key from the outside anymore, the key seems to hit the limit before it can successfully lock the door, there is no problem unlocking it afterwards though. Anyone had this problem before? Or know a way I can fix it?

if i wanted to go from header (is that where the exhaust system starts? im new with cars) to the tailpipe which tubes would i need? I know Im basically asking for you to do the work i need to do but i dont want to get a wrong tube and waste money.

Where is a good place I can get a good and cheap (i know its a bit contradictory). I have a 76 280z with a stock engine (Fuel Injected as well), also where is a cheap place I can get a 3" 90 degree mandrel bent elbow to convert my old air intake to a cold air with K&N?

where is a good place to get a new exhaust system online fairly cheap for a 76 280z with stock everything, also can i just remove the air intake cover to make it a cold ait intake? there is a picture of someone else doing this and i wonder if that would help performance. thanks
  18. Would you be willing to sell the extra 5 speed? I have been looking for one, and havn't had any luck recently. Thanks
