What do you do for a living?
I am the Operations Supervisor for a credit union. That's why I'm only on these boards during the day. Scott

Wanted: Steel clutch line
I am in need of the steel clutch line that goes from the M/C to the S/C hose. If anyone has one available off of a parts car or something, it would be greatly appreciated. My current one, the nut on the line has been stripped and cannot be saved. I can't even get it apart to change the clutch hose. Thanks Scott

Just to clarify, could you just run the stock one without emptying it?

72 240Z Door Locks
Just to chime in, my '72 has power locks added with my alarm and it also still retains this function. Only problem is that I think the doors are closed and hit the alarm button, but the doors don't lock. Also, my '69 2000 is the same way, only locks when the doors are closed, but with a roadster, if the hard top isn't on, why would you lock the doors anways? Scott

Zs in video games
I believe I saw a list of cars expected and saw every major body style from the 240-350. I also remember seeing a 510 and roadster I think. By the way, can someone get me that Vice City mod for the Z, or tell me where I can get it? That's awesome. Thanks Scott

R200 swap
My '72 also has flanges on the half-shafts. Was there a mid year/model change? Scott

Mikuni tuning manual?
Jon, can you post somemore info on this o2 sensor thing? I also have triple Solex's and they could use a good tuning. I'd be interested in how you set it up, and how it works. Thanks Scott

Education poll
I marked some college. Currently working on an A.S. in Administration of Justice. Currently employed by a credit union, for the last 10 years now. How's that for mismatched education and career.

To all that knew James Burgess aka "ZmeFly"
I'm rather new to this site, and can't say that I knew him well, but I am still saddened to hear about his passing, and my heart goes out to you and his family.

Webers or Mikuni's?????
Here's another option for you. I have triple Solex's. 44's. From my understanding though they are the same as Mikuni's. I like them and haven't seemed to have any problems with them. I had them jetted and adjusted. I just need my cam and head-work and they should run real nice. My roadster is running Mikuni's. They seem to be fine on there also. As for the header, it's a MSA 6-1 ceramic coated. I actually have quite a bit of room from the pipes to the bottom of the carbs.

Valve adjustment problems and compression test results
Sorry off topic, but what do you mean by a "wet test"? Thanks, just curious. Scott

another K owner
No hating here. I love all Datsuns. I drool over the Skylines that you guys down there have and wish we had them here in the states. I may own only a 240Z right now, but I'm always looking to acquire old Datsuns. My boss is trying to sell me his 69 2000 roadster right now. Welcome to the boards Harry.

all cuz my dad
I owe it to my dad also. He bought a 72 240 the year I was born, and I've ridden in it all my life. Even a little before I was born. Since then I've bought my own and brought it back to life form my friends backyard. Now he's working on his again, and maybe pretty soon we'll cruise together, father and son, in twin 240's.

It's time to choose...
Sorry, but I'd go with the factory orange. The first Z I fell in love with (my dad's) was orange and so is mine. They just need a new paint job, but it looks good when the paint is fresh.

How to insure?
Only problem with that is I don't think that covers loss or damage to the car from theft or vandalism. I kinda wanna know that I"m gonna get something for the cars if they should get lost or vandalized.

Motorsport fuseboxes, any experience?
Sorry for the late reply, but I just put one in my '72 240. If you have the later style short pigtail ends for the harness, like mine, it just screws in and connects with no modifications. I haven't experienced any problems yet. I did notice that both of my headlights shine a lot better now though.

Replacement headlights
Thanks Everybody.

electric radiator fans?
Just some input on the MSA fan kit, I've had mine for some time now. No overheating problems, but I never seemed to get the electric thermostat to work well on the fan. It kicks on right when I start up and shuts down shortly after I killed the engine. I just wired in a switch to the ground and keep it off when I don't need it. Other than that, the fan works fine, I don't have the stock unit on anymore and I don't seem to have any problems with overheating even in LA traffic on the I10 in rush hour.

Replacement headlights
I keep hearing everyone mention wiring a relay in if you upgrade the headlights. Can someone gimme quick diagram as to how or where to wire the relays in? Thanks

240z parts for sale
Can I see a picture of the center air dam. I might be interested in it and the valve cover. Maybe even the voltage regulator, is it brand new? Thanks

Screen Savers
Anybody have any good Z car screen savers. I used to have one that cycled through all the different Z's over the years, but that is now long gone, and I can't seem to find it again. Thanks Scott

FS: '02 Vibrant Blue Spec V
A Spec-V is the sport version of the sentra. It is actually the SE-R Spec-V. I have one along with my Z. It is actually a very nice car. It has a 2.5 liter inline 4 rated at 175hp and 180ft/lbs by Nissan. The figures are lower at the wheels. Has a 6-speed manual and 300 watt stereo. The thing I love most about the car is that it's a small sports car with 4 doors.
