i had a 280 motor put in my 240z. i had a mechanic rebuild it. he wanted to pre-oil before i started it. i want to start it today. is it posssible to pre-oil this engine? would it be worth waiting for?

well it is a 38mm offset and i will get a tire to make it fit.

i have a 71 z which is a inch lower because of the springs i put in. i found a rim i like on the net. i want 17 inch rims, and the smallest width this one will come is 7.5. will that fit on my car without going to coilovers and trimming the wheel well? i have searched thru the threads and cant seam to find an answer. tks for any help!

i cant fill my car very full because when i drive quickly around a corner..gas pours out the cap and down the side of my car...at least i think it comes from the cap..could be the overflow i guess. does anyone else have this problem?

well i think i seen the same thing but it is a hole kit that they are selling...including a throttle body...i have that ....unless you saw something different?

i am doing am putting a 83 turbo motor in my 71 240z. i bought a 60 mm throttle body off ebay. i did not realize that i needed a spacer/adaptor to make it fit/work. does anyone know where i could find one? is there anything else i might need in order for the part to fit?

i am going into my first auto cross race next week. what kind of pressure do you guys run in your zees? i am also going to do some drag racing at a track. would the pressure be any different in that situation? i have a 71 240 by the way.

i have a 71 z. the bolt that holds the bumper that goes around the passenger side of the car fell out. i tried to get in there but the gas tank is right there. how do you put a new bolt on?

everytime i am sitting anywhere with my z, people say something. wow, looks good, what year?, i had one just like it, thats a datsun?, (some kids have never seen one before), fast?, i smile, light?, i smile some more, ya you should be grinnig!, thats a big motor for that car, how fast?, light em up!, i dont want to race you cause you would kick my arse! nothing like itLOL

i have a modern deck with a removible face plate. the antenna is original but the it does not go up and down. does this make a difference?

i have a 71 240z. the am reception has been rotten from the day i bought it. i have tried grounding the antenna various ways thet dont seem to work. the only time when it comes in clear is when i grab the antenna myself. then it comes in real nice. any ideas? this is driving me nuts.:stupid: :tapemouth :mad:

i also want to put on a lightweight flywheel and a bigger throttle body on my car. those parts in the z store dont fit the turbo z. is that only those parts? do you guys know why they wont fit?

i have a 71 240 z that i am getting a 83 turbozx motor put in. i am waiting for an estimate on rebuilding the motor right now. do you think that it would be wise to to get a 3.1 stroker rebuild done on the motor. has anyone heard of a 3.1 turbo motor? would it handle the stress?
