  1. Thanks Zed. If priming the line doesn't work I'll try what you suggested. Howard
  2. Thanks Steve, ive been cranking the car. Let me try leaving in the on position for a minute or so. Howard
  3. Yes the car ran in February. I don't know if it was sealed inside.
  4. Wanted to update everyone. I bought a harbor freight hand pump for liquid. I thought I would use that to pull the fuel up to the fuel filter. I connected the pump to the rubber line that connects to the fuel filter and no gas. So I tried pushing air into the line and my pump lines bulged from the pressure. It seems the fuel line is blocked. It can't be rust as the tank is refurbished (inside and out). I know the gas today is not great but I can't believe it would turn so hard to clog a line in six months. I don't have an air compressor so I'm thinking some type of wire to snake into the line? 5. Thank you everyone for your replies. The gas tank was cleaned inside and out previously (no rust or crud), so I'm guessing it's one or both pumps. I will check today after work and post a follow up. Thank you. Howard '74 260z

  7. Hi everyone: The last time the car was started was February. I finally finished up what I needed yesterday and tried to start it unsuccessfully. The starter cranks, engine does not fire, there is spark to plugs, no fuel to the filter. I pulled the hose off from the filter and I was prepared for fuel spillage but it was completely dry, Does the fuel pump have a hard time pulling fuel when the lines are empty? Should I try turkey basting the lines with fuel? Howard 1974 260z

Hi everyone, My car didn't come with seat belts and I'm trying to install them now. If I may get some help trying to identify which one of these two of three bolts are used for the seat retractor (not shoulder), and which one goes on the tranny tunnel attachment point. Secondly where do I attach the two pieces of thin metal? Any pics would help. Thank you. Howard 1974 260z
  9. Hi everyone: I used carpartsmanual.com to locate the part number/name for this plastic piece that the armrest chrome finisher attaches to and it doesn't list it. Does anyone know if this is possibly used on another Nissan model? What it is the name of the piece so I can try to locate it maybe on ebay? Thank you.
  10. Hi everyone, I solved the mystery. The glass window rollers were attached to the door in the wrong place. They weren't aligned to those cutouts and because of that they were actually putting pressure on the door glass and pushing it away from the rubber on the stainless steel beltline trim piece.
  11. Hi everyone: I installed new fuzzy and rubber on the passenger side door. I notice that there is a gap. However the driver side door there is no gap. Does the window frame allow any adjustment?
  12. Hi everyone, I'm going to remove the stock factory exhaust header to install an aftermarket header. Do I have to remove the intake manifold?
  13. Hi everyone: I'm verifying that the scuff plate is installed in this manner: over the vinyl seam cover so it buts up against the door weather strip. Howard 1974 260z
  14. Hi everyone, I replaced my clutch master cylinder and i;m in the process of adjusting the pedal per the manual. "Set the upper surface of the pedal pad 8.9 in or 226mm from the metal surface of the toe-board." If you look at this picture you will see that the caliper (which I set to 226mm) is not touching the pedal pad when the other end is sitting on that metal riser. However if I measure from the firewall as I did in this picture the caliper does line up just about perfectly on the rubber on the pedal. (226mm from firewall to top of pedal). What is the proper point that I should be measuring? Any help is appreciated. Thank you. Howard 1974 260z

  16. Hi, If anyone is looking to sell, or knows of someone selling, a manual 260z or 280z in these areas mentioned please let me know. I'm not looking for a major project so a model with extensive rust or needing repainting I would pass. Thank you. Howard Rockville, MD
