Sydney Z Car Club?
OK, now make a mould and do some fibreglass knock offs. You have one customer already. BTW, Z Car Workshop is basically going out of that sort of stuff, Alan Stean is concentrating on Silverstone tyres.

Racing at Sandown this weekend
Yeh, good racing in the Zed car, have fun and thrash the Porkas. Sprints at Queensland Raceway this Saturday too, no lap records, just want to settle in a bit more after recent car improvements. Re the GT-R, for the money they are way faster than the German pretenders. And road modified Silvias are damm quick too.:devious:

Sydney Z Car Club?
The Xenon, is that the same as on Handley's car? What are they made of? For that sort of money I may try and design and make my own though, perhaps using one from another car as a base. Bugger of a job though.

Anyone in Oz used Victoria British?
Unless you are going for a concours look, trs, you may like to use the whole lot cheaper generic type rubbers where applicable eg door and hatch seals. I got mine from The Rubber Shop in Brisbane, quality and price excellent, just work out the total lengths you want and take samples. Only Mr Fussy would notice the difference.

I finally have my parts car! Want anything?
No hurry, next time you are coming to Brisbane will do.:classic: BTW, the later 260 strut tube OD is 2", around 50.8 mm.

I finally have my parts car! Want anything?
Justin, I'll have the front struts, if they are the later 260 type. I can get the strut tube OD measurement if you want it, early 260's had the slightly smaller OD strut tube 240 size struts. I'd just want the bare struts without the springs.

Vacum Advance
So where does the vacuum line for the power brakes plumb in? You may be able to connect up there.

New Rims are narrower than Old...
Depends what you use the car for. For ordinary street use you probably will not notice the difference but for hard use its a bad idea. It is possible to cut and shut wheels to widen the rims but illegal for public road use.

Front Air Dams?
For those interested, Z Car Workshop, Brisbane, has only a small chin type front spoiler. He, Alan Stean, has no intentions of getting more or different types, he's concentrating on his Silverstone tyre business now.

Power Output
He he, mine presently does 220 rwhp. New engine etc coming.:cheeky:

Front Air Dams?
That looks like it would be OK, need the big air intake for the intercooler.

ZED's in Townsville
'Skimmo' would be Warren Skimmings I'd guess. Yes that 240 turbo is very quick as is the driver. He was down for the 03 Z Nationals at Brisbane and drove that car at Queensland Raceway in the sprints. Beat me by a couple of seconds IIRC and was around third fastest on the day.

Ignition problems....car dies
Dear oh dear, I'd say fluck it and have a beer, or two. Come back tomorrow. Sounds more like fuel to me. When it next stops check how much petrol is actually in a carbie.

Sydney Z Car Club?
You never know with AS but I very much doubt it. Anyway I'll be seeing him before the end of the month so will ask.

Sydney Z Car Club?
Anyone know their email address? Their website seems to be down and I'd like to contact Richard? Handley or someone else who knows where to get those front spoilers like the one on Handley's car that is pictured in the Front Spoiler thread. As an enticement I've got a couple of photos of Sydney cars at the '97 Nats at Lakeside that I'd quite happily post to the lucky winner of the Find the Spoiler competition.:cheeky:

Front Air Dams?
The spoiler on the red Zed at the front is what I had in mind except that I don't want brake ducts. But its a bit narrow for the eight inch wheels and neg camber on that car, similar to mine in that way.

Front Air Dams?
The fifth one down of those in black and white on the right is of interest http://www.zcarparts.com/store/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=50-1501&Category_Code=7AP So that is not the Fibresports/fullee Sik one, unfortunately......

Front Air Dams?
Thanks Brett and 26ounce, that ID's it fairly well. Well I tried to upload a pic containing one that is of interest but it got rejected, Wrong Format. Geez, I'm flat out getting them into any format. Might try another forum.

Front Air Dams?
Thats a fine collection of vehicles you have there in your gallery, Bill. About the spoiler, the one in one piece, dunno what it is, but if you don't mind me saying, it looks like it got hit with an ugly stick.

What I did on the weekend
From NZ, DM, around $750 each. But the freight thing is not going to work with you in Melbourne and me in Bris. Sorry, should have thought of that sooner.

Front Air Dams?
Now we're cooking, thanks. While looking through some pics I'd taken at the second last Z car nationals in Q, there was a car at Lakeside which had a MSA look alike front spoiler. I'll try and scan it in seeing the scanner now seems to be working. 26ounce, that fullee sik front spoiler, is that an air intake in the middle there, under the front bumper? Bit hard to tell. And how wide is it across the front? BTW, if anyone wants a f'glass rear hatch. a fella here in Bris makes them for $260. I've ordered one, if interested phone Greg Tebble, 3353 2879.

Front Air Dams?
C'mon you slack buggers, t-h-i-n-k.:cheeky:

Got my new 240z!
The front struts themselves which of course includes the front axles. Don't need any inserts or attachments. Important that they are the later 260 struts, 2" ~ 50mm outside diameter tubes.

Got my new 240z!
Pretty decent looking car the green one. Got any 260 front struts for sale?
