I got the car with the bumpers that way ... it looks like a set of fangs. Yeah im keeping the sunroof, theres not much rust just superficial, i payed $5600 for it.. i like that colour on the top lamborghini so i think i might just go with the metallic orange, ive been through the process of restoring a car with my dad (Datsun 120Y) so this is a second. Hey, this is my first zed..its a 1975 2seater 260z, i bought it about a month and a half ago, it has an L28, the body isnt in such a bad condition but there are signs that bog has been used because there are cracks in certain areas. The chassis is straight and perfect, the interior isnt perfect with bad cracks on the dash, centre console etc in okay condition, seats are ok, in need of new carpets, ive already started stripping the car down and getting her ready for a restoration. I will probably get the car sandblasted and taken to a panelbeater to get all the rust fixed and any dents etc, im still having trouble what colour to paint her im thinking maybe metallic orange, metallic red with a bit of orange in it or a canary yellow. I will most likely take out the L28 and replace it with an RB26DETT. I will upload progress pics so keep an eye out.

Would a Supra Twin Turbo 2jzgte fit in a 260z ? What would need upgrading ? Im guessing a 260z with a 2jzgte would be a perfect combination, or is the soarer twin turbo a much better choice ? Comments would be much appreciated.

Yeah thats true about the metallics, my bro has a sandfire metallic colour and someone smashed into it, the professionals said they were having problems finding the right colour so it took quite a bit to find a similar colour, I was thinking of a lime metallic green, red burgandy does look pretty nice, but im looking to get a yellow/orange metallic look, the new yellow lamborghi looks pretty good also im going to have to play around in photoshop to get an idea of what the car might look like. bonniec75209 yep teenage mutant ninja turtles, feel free to use it if you want.

Hey thanks, is it true that a dark colour shows all the scratches and chips on the paint ? Gee I saw one on the road the other day it was also metallic blue and I remember telling my bro how hot that looked.

Any suggestions for a number plate name ?

Im having trouble with what colour to respray my car in, I dont want red because its too common, I want something metallic but that looks good on the zed, I was thinking of Canary Yellow but I still havent made up my mind, If anyone can suggest some colours or post some pics of a zed and what colour was used would be cool, Thanks.

Hey everyone, im restoring my 76 260z (2 seater) and i need new door skins.. I was thinking of getting the wood and making a fibreglass copy of it and then re skinning that because the wood is all warped, any suggestions ?
