Should I Be Unhappy About This?
Typically, the valve cover would not be included with the head. I'm with Ed on the manifold studs and coolant connector. That little connector is available for just a few dollars, so it's not so bad to replace it anyway. It will look a lot better too :classic: On the upper right side in the gallery you can sort by 'latest'. I think it defaults to alphabetical, so that's probably why they're mixed up. I think the sprockets interchange. You should be OK. Hope it helps. Chloe

Nismo front grill
Details, details...just kidding. Seriously, thanks for the clarification Alan. Ed, Here's your picture...

Nismo front grill
The stock '73 grille has slightly different locations for the mounting points on either end. I would guess that the Nismo 432 grille has the mounting points in the '70-'72 location, but could probably be fitted to the '73 with a little engineering

Gearbox Oil - Should I Change?
One last thing worth noting might be to make sure you succeed at getting the fill plug out first, then the drain plug. That way, if you have trouble getting the fill plug out, you're not stuck with an empty gearbox. Been there, done that :stupid:

'70-71 240Z Glovebox
All of the carriers can be a pain to get claims from. They are real quick to point out their regulations after the fact...all of that fine print that they fail to mention beforehand. A hint for the future: If the item is in a good box with 2 inches of foam (not peanuts, they say that's not good enough) on ALL sides they will usually shut up and pay, regardless of what happened. This has been my observation, anyway.

Won't Rev past 2000 rpm on the HWY.
You might check the alternator belt. Sounds kind of like it's loose, and will slip enough to lose your charge at sustained high rpms on the highway.

HELP!! low compression on 4 cyl. in Dallas
Is it just burning oil or does it run poorly? With readings that low, I would think it would just barely be running, and very badly. If it's running OK, I would re-check those readings...maybe it's not as bad as it seemed. Just a thought.

Can anyone ID this Nismo part?
This page shows that number...the transalation is not great, but worth a look, I think. Nismo page Ok, sorry I've tried to make the link work twice now. Here it is in Japanese, sort of www.poweraxel.com/nismo/news/news2000/n000017.html Then plug that link in at www.altavista.com , to translate. It worked here, but I can't seem to link to the translated page.

I think there was a change that occurred in 8/76, so the 10/76 should work fine.

part of the prob with eBay
This thread caught my interest because I buy and sell on ebay also. I'd like to say first that there is hopefully no hostility brewing here. I certainly don't want to create any, anyway :classic: Watching ebay pretty closely, I also noticed the seller's shipping rates that were mentioned in the first post. I questioned them too, but then I took a look at his feedback and he does get a lot of praise for speed of delivery, and not very many neg. comments at all. My conclusion at the time was maybe he uses 2nd day air? Just a thought. As a seller, I use UPS for as often as I can. It may be seen as lazy by some, and I understand, but I see it as more practical. There are a lot of days that I have 10 or more packages going out. To me it is not practical to take 10+ packages to the post office with 10+ delivery confirmation forms, and 10+ insurance forms. 7 times out of 10 when I offer USPS service, the buyer elects to take insurance at an extra $1.30, making a small priority package $5.15 plus .50 or so for materials (not newspapers ) makes it over $5.50. UPS always includes free insurance (I don't charge extra, anyway because it is so cheap) and tracking. I have never had a UPS package that I sent get lost or damaged, or been accused of non-delivery. When potential buyers ask ahead of time about the method, I'm flexible on that...but I'm still not too fond of padded envelopes. I've seen too much crushed merchandise in my mailbox over the years. I agree completely that the speed of UPS is on average far behind priority mail, but I just feel more comfortable with it, as a buyer and a seller. Sorry for the length here. This is just my take on things. Thanks for listening.

Want slotmags?? Deal of the decade
Granted it's risky, but 90% of the time, that's the way to sell for the most (to start so low). I would bet that they go for $300+ like the rest of the slot mags on there do. Just 2 cents.
