  1. I am also interested in Dif lube suggestions. My car sat for about 15 years. I'm pretty sure my rear wheel bearings are original and the dif has not been touched. Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile
  2. When I installed my black Konigs I debated on the lugs but finally decided on chrome. I have another car with black wheels and with black lugs I think you lose some of the depth of the wheel, sort of one big black hole...My 2 cents. I still like the gun metal gray best though and have thought about going to Rota's or having these powder coated, very close to the same cost either way.
  3. I like them, I think silver Panasports tend to get sort of lost on a silver car in my opinion. I like them on just about every other color.
  4. That's the other concern I have. I live near the ocean and anything that gets exposed rusts almost immediately, even in the garage with a cover on it. Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile
  5. Curious as to what you all think. One thing I discovered is this spoiler covers all the emblem holes except one, the one on the right of the Datsun logo. So, if this is a yes, this is a bigger deal than simply bolting on a spoiler.
  6. They did and I did. However, over time, when you remove the wheel, the tabs will come in contact with the caps unless you hold the wheel perfectly straight. Not a big deal.
  7. I thought they were a bargain. I see you are from H-Town, that's my home town but moved to FL 6 years ago. Miss my BBQ and TexMex, also H-Town sports!
  8. Thank you! Very similar to what I ended up building. Ive been meaning to ask you, where did you get your rear strut bar?
  9. No, drive line is nice and tight, diff and trans isolators are also new. Clunking happens on sharp sudden bumps, more prevalent when the car has less weight (fuel or another person)
  10. Hard to describe in words. Lets say its a clunk.....
  11. Good to know, I definitely have some of that going on as well although I rarely get the car past 60mph for any distance or on a highway. Might be I just have something lose that is causing the noise. Plan on checking everything out when I swap the spare bar.
  12. Exactly
  13. I rebuilt my entire suspension with one of the Poly kits, I also lowered the car a bit with lowering springs. The ride result is pretty harsh, but I expected it. The one thing that however seems extremely harsh is the noise apparently coming from the mustache bar and so I would like to address this. This noise is especially evident on short sharp bumps, small holes etc.. I have a spare mustache bar and was going to install a NOS set of Nissan isolators. I have since decided to try the White Head isolators with lower durometer. Probably could have just drilled the harder bushings a bit to soften them as I did with the TC rods up front.
  14. Yea, I'm in the Gas Station equipment business so this was right up my alley... I want the internal combustion engine to hang on strong for at least 10 more years to get me into retirement....LOL
  15. I went back and looked at my receipts, they are 225-50-15's not 205's. They are Kumho's from Tire Rack. These are their part #'s KU ECSTA AST, Part # 25HR5EAST. I paid $74.25 ea. on 8/18/16, shipping to the store was $56.00. The local tire store charged me $90.00 to mount balance and install the nice metal stems. Im real happy with the performance ride and look for the price.
  16. Yes, several of the little tabs broke off on the center caps even with them hammered, I put a small amount of silicon glue on them, I think it's the gutter glue, just to make sure they don't fly away. Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile
  17. Yea, if I had to do it all over again I would buy the Mag Black Rota's would say they are more charcoal grey. Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile
  18. I ended up mocking it up from cardboard, built the box in two pieces so that the spare can be accessed without issue. I had already purchased the Retrosound speakers but others will work for sure. Sounds much better than the little separate speaker pods. I assume because they are tilted slightly up and sound bounces off the glass.
  19. I have these wheels with 205-50-15's, car has 1" lowering springs, no clearance issues
  20. I am looking for some dems to get me started. Maybe a pic if possible. I have a friend who has one in his 71 240 but its significantly larger than the one needed in my 280z. Was hoping to not have to completely engineer the panel from scratch.
  21. Looking for some detail on the rear speaker enclosure like MSA sells for 2 6x9's. and replaces the stock rear plastic panel over the tail lights They have been out of stock for sometime on the one for 1977. I had already purchased the low profile Retrosound speakers needed for its installation. Thanks for you assistance !
  22. Were you able to find out about the wire you used? Also, did you just use a wire brush? Or did you also use some sort of cleaning agent? Thanks!
  23. Did you use a specific type of wire? Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile
